10/365 We walked along the rocky beach with our heads down, searching the sand. I had been on so many beaches in my lifetime, but had never thought to seek out the smooth, pale gems that probably exist on every mile of sand if you care to look. I was kicking myself for not collecting them sooner, imagining the wonderful pile of pale blue and green that I could have amassed in my short lifetime. How I would have put it in jars lining our windowsill to catch the morning sun, as a reminder of the ocean. #objectaday2016 #365project

I've never flown in a hot air balloon, though I've dreamed about it. Seeing these hanging in a shop in Napa, a whole grouping of them (some huge, almost the size of my head!), I wanted one immediately. And then I lost the string to hang it with, so it sits on my shelf, waiting for the day it can take flight. 8/365 #objectaday2016 #365project

My word this year is DEBT. Usually I set intentions like "be more creative!" "eat healthier!" and other wishy-washy things that are easy to say "yeah, I totally did that this year!" and feel accomplished without really moving forward. This year will be different. I am setting a meaningful, hard, worthwhile goal that will actually change my life. I know that sharing personal things on social media can turn people off, and normally I would never share anything this personal here. But, I feel like being open about my goals publicly will help to motivate me to reach them. I am going to work as hard as I can to turn $15,616.49 in debt to $0. I know it is possible, and no matter what at the end of the year I will be that much closer to being debt free! 💪🏼 #HOLYSHIT #CREAM
