SteoWeek Day 7: Regency AU

In the County of Beacon rumours are spreading about the returning of one of the Landlords. Lord Raeken heir of Dreadhills is coming back home after finishing his studies.

He is said to be attending the anual ball at the Hale House on Saturday. Theodore will definatelly be the guest of honor in the event, surely many suitors will try and get his attention, and many parents trying to procure their children with an advantageous marriage. But Theo has always wanted to find his perfect match.

“Lord Raeken, long time no see” Theo hears someone say

“Ah, Lord Whittemore, It’s good to be back” Theo greets his old friend.

“How was, Switzerland, wasn’t it?” Jackson asks

“Yes, it was nice, very peculiar the swiss. I have to confess that I missed home somedays” Theo claims

Jackson huffs. “It all the same as it was before”

Theo miles but then his attention gets caught by a man across the ballroom. “There’s new people”Theo says pointing in the direction.

Jackson glares. “Stiles?”

“What’s a Stiles?” Theo chuckles.

“The boy next to Lydia. He is the son of the new Commander of the Royal Family Guard. Stilinski. Nice man, he married Lydia’s mother last year. Stiles though, he is disaster” Jackson explains

“How so?” Theo questions.

“He is a rebel you could say, he fights against customs and rules. He doesn’t know how to properly behave as a man of his position.” Jackson argues.

Theo smirks and walks towards the boy, dodging the people dancing, and trying to speak to him.

“Lady Martin, beautiful as ever” theo declares taking Lydia’s hand and kissing it softly. 

“Theodore, It’s nice to have you back. You don’t know my stepbrother don’t you?” Lydia says

“I’m afraid I do not have the pleausure” Theo responds.

“Mieczyslaw Stilisnki, you may call me Stiles your Lordship, the pleausure it’s all mine” Stiles introduces himself.

Theo smiles shaking Stiles’s hand. “Would you care for a dance?” Theo asks extending his hand to Stiles.

“Oh, I do not want to” Stiles says shocking everyone. “Do enjoy the evening Lord Raeken” Stiles proclaims before leaving. Lydia hisses and excuses herself going after her sibling.

Jackson chuckles. “I told you, didn’t I?” 

But Theo couldn’t stop looking at the boy from afar, his shock quickly turning into interest. Stiles intrigues him. Theo smirks, he wants him.

So Theo courts Stiles, his attepts not being very welcomed by the Stilinski boy. But Theo notices that he has not upfrontly rejected him so he still gathers hope.

one day Stiles seems to have had enough.

“Okay you need to stop with the game” Stiles says. Theo had just casually found him walking by the river.

“What game?” Theo questions.

“This! this nonsense of you following me around and giving me presents” Stiles argues.

“It’s called courtship” Theo claims.

Stiles snorts. “You are not courting me”

“Why wouldn’t I?” Theo asks.

“Why would you?!” Stiles asks back his tone turning into anger. “Lady Yukimura wants you to marry her daughter, Did you know that?” Stiles says.

“Yes, I met them” Theo claims.

“A man of your position should be with someone like her” Stiles says.

“And yet I do not want her” Theo states coming closer to Stiles.

“And you want me?” Stiles asks.

“Is it so hard to believe?” Theo questions standing in front of Stiles.

“Yes!” Stiles shouts.

Theo breathes out. “When I first saw you across the room I couldn’t stop looking. When I came closer and I saw your whisky eyes and pink lips, your beauty was more than evident to me. But you know what was the moment that truly convinced me that you were for me?” Theo says into Stiles’s eyes. The Stilinski boy denies. “When you refused to dance with me. You bewitched me, my heart and my soul desire you, and only you.” Theo declares.

“That makes no sense” Stiles whispers. Theo is so close that he can hear him perfectly.

“What I dread the most is having a boring life. I know that with you I won’t have that, you’ll challenge me, you’ll make life interesting.” Theo caresses Stiles’s cheek with his hand, Stiles closes his eyes to the touch.

Theo leaves after that, he spends the next couple of days in his mansion worrying that he had opened his heart in vain. But when the servants announce that he has a visitor and he sees Stiles standing in his office all the fears dissapears. He kisses Stiles and Stiles kisses him back. Life is perfect.

Stiles and Theo have been hiding their relationship for so long that it was a well-ingrained habit. Two showers after they see each other, never touch in public, never even look at each other in public. It’s been going pretty well until…it turns out maybe it wasn’t as secret as previously expected. – Or, the one where Stiles and Theo think they’ve been sneaky, but they’re both significantly easier to deal with when getting regular sex and well…they’ve been downright pleasant recently.

for @steoweek2020 day 6: Experimentation

Stiles and Theo aren’t quite sure how they ended up starting a band together. Considering how disparate their musical tastes are, it shouldn’t work. But they find themselves drawn together, Stiles always drumming any any available surface, Theo humming a new line overtop as his fingers itch for the strings, until something worth listening to comes out of it.

They haven’t quite settled on a style yet. Scott likes to joke that every song they write is a new genre, and he’s a little bit right. But the experimentation process is fun and exciting and intimate in a way that neither of them expected when they started this.
