For the anon asking about Chemical Engineering, I think a lot of people in the US choose chemical engineering thinking it'll be a lot of chemistry but are surprised to find that it's mostly physics, math, and the thermo part of chemistry. We did a little reaction kinetics, but my courses focused more on energy balances, heat/momentum/mass transfer, and process modeling. ChemE isn't what I thought it would be, but I fell in love with it anyways. Definitely a lot of fun
I completely agree! It’s the same here in the U.K. If you want to study something with more chemistry, you might want to consider a combined course (I.e. Chemistry and business) or something like pharmacology or pharmacy. Although chemical engineering may be different to how I and a lot of other expected it to be, it’s so diverse and interesting! I’m never bored with it ☺️

Same in Germany. At least at my uni. I didn’t want to do a lot of chemistry actually and what should I say, I didn’t really learn anything I didn’t know back in school ( regarding the chemistry part ofc)
