like… mike isn’t conversing with his mutuals out in the open i don’t think, idk if he’d even have many mutuals. he would just reblog weird shit, randomly heavily criticize films, probably make enemies on tumblr by having a terrible tone and being very argumentative and stubborn on his takes on literature and film (and then a few months later he realises he actually took way too hard a stance so he quietly reblogs his own post with a follow up but never apologizes to anyone he pissed off). he’s not outright insulting ppl unless they get rlly stupid but he’s very firm in his beliefs sometimes and kinda implies ppl are idiots if they don’t agree with him 😬
if he were on twitter he’d lowk probably get cancelled for saying some shit that came off wrong and then he’d dig the hole deeper arguing and defending himself and lowk get very stressed before realising “wait i don’t know these people” and just dip 😭 he’d still lowk have a stomach ache abt it like its haunting him that there’s ppl out there who think he thinks whatever they accused. he’s fine being seen as corny bc he thinks he’s the shit lowk but he draws the line at ppl thinking he’s prejudiced and/or stupid. it would piss him offff. luckily he’s not on twitter tho, he has an account but just lurks once every few months or so. maybe argues with ppl sometimes but will says he thinks twitter brings out an evilness in mike LMAO and mike lowk agrees. he falls for ragebait extremely easily also so it’s a terrible environment for him.
he’s gotten a bit better at taking a breath and moving on tho. on several occasions now he has typed an entire paragraph and then slowly gone “i don’t care” and deleted it. it’s progress. he’s definitely posted things like “everyone is so stupid holy shit” or “wow some people are just like. idiots. and they just walk around like that” or “i love being problematic it’s great my opinions are fantastic im never wrong god can’t kill me” and it’s like ok buddy im sure
he’d also make those weird surreal tiktok short films that are always shockingly well filmed and edited and he’d post them on tumblr. he’d also cosplay his d&d characters and make genuinely gorgeous videos in the woods like girl he was president of the AV club he knows what he’s doing audiovisual-wise
he’d vaguepost but if u know him irl you would know easily that it’s abt max or hopper or andy like u know his ass is extremely obvious. he’d say weird shit like shower thoughts and complain a lot, sometimes he’d disappear for a while and then come back like “sorry i vanished things were actually good but now im mad again” and start ranting abt some stupid non-issue. he'd post shit like "so normal right now the normalest ever actually" or "shit." with nooo context. he'd hornypost but it would be completely not obvious that he's hornyposting like he'd just say some shit like "feeling insane" or a simple "ffmmgghh" and it's like ok. good to know man this means nothing to anyone

i honestly feel like will probably has a tumblr but never really remembers to use it, he’s maybe posted a couple sketches but that’s about it. mikes probably reblogged his art in the past and said “look at my boyfriend” in the tags tho

mike used to get in political arguments a lot and then eventually went “wait i don’t fucking care actually i’m not changing the world on tumblr dot com” but he still gets ragebaited often, he does reblog posts abt current events sometimes, especially ones that are related to being queer in america
he’d reblog such fucking cursed memes it’s not even funny like just genuinely weird shit he thinks is soo funny. we got mr dank memes over here
if he gets real it’s not super often, occasionally he might make a vent post but he feels too exposed somehow, even tho he doesn’t have that many followers and his friends aren’t really on tumblr. he’s actually pretty reserved, like he’s closed off. he doesn’t get super personal even tho this is supposedly his space, he just doesn’t
sometimes in a moment of weakness he does post “i miss my boyfriend” “need to kiss him” “anyway where’s my boyfriend” “wtf” “whines” “whines louder” “boyfriendless this is fucked up” and this series of posts gets entirely ignored
honestly his posts probably get like. 1-5 likes unless they’re about an actual piece of media and then they’re averaging around 100 or so, like a range of 50-300 probably, although a couple of his bangers have made it to 1000+
he doesn’t get a lot of asks, his inbox is pretty empty. he doesn’t jump on trends either so he doesn’t get that influx of followers when a new thing comes out and ppl take advantage by posting abt it.. yeah he doesn’t do that, he lives in his own little world. he’s DEFINITELY stumbled across fandom discourse completely by accident before and been shocked that ppl were arguing abt this thing where there’s obviously a correct answer (he then argues furiously with ppl to defend himself). he’s not really a fandom guy per se, not in a reblogging art and writing fanfic way, he just posts his takes and is always surprised by which ones take off and which don’t (like, he didn’t think a hamlet rant would get more attention than star wars analysis. he was deeply confused when his opinion about a kingsman ship that he doesn’t even ship but which he simply felt shippers were shipping wrong got more likes than his detailed post abt sam and frodo paralleling beren and lúthien. he’s playing a game called “what fandom actually is more active” and every one he finds out is mildly surprising)
he doesn’t have an ao3, his writing lives in his google docs. he doesn’t really write fanfiction, more oc/d&d stuff, but he writes detailed enough analysis that he probably should but it’s just not that tempting. he might have written samfro before tho, don’t look at him
he makes posts ranking the different editions of d&d and talking abt the differences between them and when each came out and all the supplements and such and which additions he likes and which he thinks were redundant. these posts do not get a lot of likes but he continues to do it. he’s also made lists detailing which figurines are coming out for a show and ranking and analyzing them. these too get maybe 1 or 2 likes
he posts spotify playlists he’s made too, he’s not super limited by genre but his playlists all share a common vibe. he likes punk politics and reblogs stuff abt diy and cool shit he wants to do but that he doesn’t actually end up doing
he’s probably posted at lease four times asking “should i get an eyebrow piercing” “chat should i get an eyebrow piercing” “guys be honest do u think i would look good with an eyebrow piercing”. the answer has been yes each time but he hasn’t done it yet
he reblogs philosophy, photography, especially locations across america and interesting aesthetics, as well as quotations from interesting literature, typically anti-conformist topics. sometimes he goes on these little creative tangents and writes some spontaneous, unedited thing about a paladin or a creature in the forest or some vampire who lives in a dark tower, and they’re actually really cool and moody
he reblogs gifsets of niche movies from the ‘80s and ‘90s and randomly goes on a spree of talking abt the most obscure fucking piece of media you’ve never heard of. sometimes he makes shitty gifsets bc he knows what shots look good and he knows how to edit but he never actually bothered to look into how making gifs works so he probably just uses some converter online or straight up uploads them into the tumblr create a gif feature 😭 it’s fine he’s just making them for him anyway and he likes them
he does NOT have a “theme” he posts what his heart desires. sometimes he just posts a link to a single song with no context whatsoever. however the aesthetic of his blog is probably a dark blue with black and white accents, kinda moody looking. no hiding what a big nerd he is tho, he posts a fair amount abt star wars and lotr and lots of different comics but like goes DEEPLY in depth abt stuff and parallels and analysis and obscure facts, like he’s certainly read silm and the appendices and knows ridiculous amounts of tiny details and will argue with u and call u stupid
when he was younger/before he realised he was gay he'd post more of those creative writing things and stuff about his campaigns and they'd get increasingly obviously queer, like his campaign with king tristan and the proud princess, and after he figures it out around 14 yo he'd explore those feelings more in his writing, the confusion and guilt. as he figures himself out he'd start tentatively reblogging queer culture/aesthetics/history and would be a little less defensive/in denial about it. he realises yeah, these people don't know him, so he can just say what he feels and he's still not the best at it without a layer of fiction to cover it up but he's learning. he's always been good at talking about his feelings to will, once he actually faces them, and i feel like his tumblr (like his d&d campaigns in canon, and alongside them here) is how he acclimates himself to facing them ?
he probably seems more moody and edgy on tumblr than he is irl, but sometimes his inner loser comes through yk. still ppl on tumblr probably would imagine him, if pressed, looking more alternative than he does, more early grunge probably, yk with the punk and metal influences easily identifiable. it’s the way he sees himself in his head and the way he wants to look and read to others. he’s not sure why he hasn’t taken steps to start changing his appearance to how he wants to be. guess he just hasn’t gotten around to it, keeps putting it off. whatever
