The garden was their spot. It was his parents spot before it had become theirs but now it was solely his and [Y/N]. Maximillion was pretty content as he sat at a table gazing at the roses and sipping some rose tea. It was fairly lonely though; the silence of the early morning stretching on and his lover upstairs asleep while his butler prepared breakfast. His father and mother were long gone, but he could remember how much they loved each other. The smiles that they had shared; the love they had for each other, and now he had found the same thing that his parents had. [Y/N] made him smile; just the thought of her brought a smile to his face. Her laugh, her smile, and the way her hands felt in his; it was all just perfect. Max finally understood the feelings that his father felt when he was with his wife. Now it was his turn to make new memories. The young prince felt around in his pocket and a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he felt the velvety black box in his pocket. Just the thought of what was about to happen made his heart race and he was very excited.

           “Sir…” His butler drew him out of his own thoughts and he blinked looking over in that direction with a soft smile on his face. “I am sorry to interrupt but Lady [Y/N] is almost ready and she will be down shortly.”

           “Great!” He exclaimed brightly as he stood up and moved over towards a smaller table that stood next to a rose bush. Getting behind a camera was something very hard for him to do especially after his sister; the Queen had gotten rid of the arts which was extremely devastating. Taking a deep breath Max closed his purple eyes and carefully ran his fingers over the twelve by twelve dark brown book. The past began to flood back to Max and he remembered the first day they met and he knew she was the one. He was starving and she fed him; the light at the end of the tunnel. During that dark time he was in, [Y/N] had become his sunshine and she shined down rays of light. 

           Taking another deep breath Max opened his eyes and flipped open the cover, a beautiful photo of [Y/N] looking towards the sky with joy in her eyes and a beautiful smile gracing her features. She was beautiful. It was cheesy and cliche but every time Max laid his purple pupils on her he felt his heart beat pick up speed and he could feel butterflies form in his stomach. His mouth would suddenly feel as if there was cotton and he would find himself having a hard time trying to form words. He would be too captured by her beauty.

           “Max.” A familiar and beautiful voice the sound of bells rang out through the garden and immediately Max shut the book, making sure it was well hidden until the time he needed it.

           “Ah, my beautiful [Y/N],” He strode toward her and took her hands gently in his. “How did you sleep my lovely?”

           “I slept well and you?” She chuckled faintly and Max replied that he slept splendid as he lead her towards a small table that had a fresh pot of rose tea awaiting them. “I always sleep well when you are by my side.” He told her as he kissed the back of her hand and watched as [Y/N] flushed from embarrassment. That made her even more beautiful. I get to spend the rest of my life with her. Max thought to himself as he gazed at the wonderful woman before him, the one that he would hopefully be able to soon call his fiancé and then his wife, and maybe even the mother of his children. Life was hopeful, wonderful and amazing, and it was even more amazing with his loved one by his side.

           He couldn’t wait to spend the rest of his life with her, to wake up next to her, to have breakfast with her, to grow old with her and never regret his choices.

           “Max, are you alright?” Her gentle voice drew him out of his thoughts and he blinked his purple optics, a slow grin spreading across his face. He couldn’t wait any longer, but of course he didn’t want to jump and ruin the moment either. So he would simply…wait.

           “Oh yes, I’m fine. I’m just thinking.” He gave her a warm smile and drank a sip of his rose tea. Oh how wonderful it would be to spend the rest of his days like this in the garden, especially with her by his side. He wanted her by his side for the rest of his life. “I was thinking about us.” Max had added when he noticed the curious look on [Y/N]’s face. A small chuckle slipped out of his lips as he watched her eyes go wide and her cheeks once again flushed. This was it. This was the moment he had been waiting for.

           With a deep breath Maximillion stood up and walked over towards [Y/N]. “I have something for you.” He whispered in her ear before he walked over towards the bush and pulled out the twelve by twelve leather bound scrap book. Turning around he strode over towards her and placed the book in her delicate hands. Max took a step back and paced around the table every once and awhile glancing at [Y/N] and watching as her facial expressions changed by the second. One minute she looked extremely happy, the next she looked as if she wanted to cry tears of joy, the next she looked surprised and so on and so on. He couldn’t help but chuckle silently and his hand involuntarily went to his pocket, the velvety box bringing comfort at that thought. Before she flipped to the last page Max had moved to kneel down on one knee in front of his beloved and slowly withdrew the box from his pocket. With a critical eye he watched as [Y/N] flipped to the last page and her eyes went wide almost to the point where they were going to pop out of her head. He could see it on her face, the question that she wanted to ask out loud by couldn’t bring herself to say it; are you serious?

           “[Y/N], you make me so happy, each and every single day. We’ve come a long way and I know that we will go further together. I love you [Y/N].” He breathed out softly, his voice barely above a whisper and it almost as if the wind was going to quickly carry those words away before they were caught. “Life without you terrifies me, and the thought that you could leave me one day is even more terrifying. You are my anchor and I am truly lucky to have you in my life.” He watched as the tears sprang to her eyes and Max moved to open the box, revealing a ring that was once his mother’s and would soon become his fiancés.

“So my beautiful [Y/N], will you do me the honors and marry me?” He questioned softly, his eyes searching the beautiful tear stained cheeks.

           “Yes!” She exclaimed and threw her hands around his neck causing him to topple over. Max let out a warm laugh, one that began in his stomach and bubbled up out of him. He peppered her face with kisses and when they finally pulled back he slipped the ring on her finger.
