The boy had fallen, fallen down, into the twisted bowels of the Abyss. How long he walked he knew not, and all he could do was put one trembling step in front of the other, until he saw an incredible sight before him. A pale figure, standing serenely by the cooling remains of a monster slain. And so it came to be that the paths of the lost boy Ajax and the wandering puppet Kunikuzushi intersected.
