A work-in-progress: a Vogue/GQ style shoe advertisement for gender fluid heels.

I’m looking back at an older sketch I made of Ranma, and really enjoyed the design of the heels I created for the drawing. I found this store in downtown called Fluevog Shoes, which turned out to be a very boutique designer shoe store, but I was inspired that day. I quickly realized how difficult it was to draw heels from multiple directions, and sort of stumbled through it, but I feel like the trial-and-error process ground some of that knowledge into me a bit.

It’s also been a couple of months it seems since I’ve posted updates on this project. I’ve got the energy, just need to get at it and finish these pencil tests.
