As for the dough trio, I’d think them getting there was a whole line of “I know a guy”s starting at Dark Enchantress and ending with the three of them (when they needed someone to design the Cookies of Darkness’ costumes, DE went “I know a guy who knows a guy” and called her daughter Matcha who then called her best friend [a clothes designer] Red Velvet. THEN, Red Velvet goes “I can do it, but I need help from this guy I know” who ends up being Venom Dough [a costume designer but with a specialty in fantasy]. Later on, when they were offered the actual role of Venom Dough and asked about how they wanted to cast the other dough siblings, the actor answered with ANOTHER “I know some guys”. And then there were three)
They’re actual real life adoptive siblings and Venom Dough and Mold Dough play rock, paper, scissors every morning to see who’s making the attempt to get Pom Pom Dough awake and to school (they could start this routine at 5 am and she’d still almost always arrive at school right between being late and on time). It’s not like their moms can’t do it, but Pom Pom won’t budge unless her siblings do it
Mold Dough’s in one of the most prestigious pastry schools globally studying to become a pastry chef, but many of the staff and actors who’ve had the chance of trying his creations practically secured his career already (tears are shed whenever Mold Dough says he “can’t bring a treat he made in class” because it’s “for a grade”)
Pom Pom Dough’s in the softball team at her school and practices really hard because she wants to be said team’s captain, so she would use the exhaustion she had after practice to deliver her lines in character (at least one person got worried once over whether she was actually in pain during production up until they yelled “cut” and she IMMEDIATELY switched from agony to pure excitement while waving around Mold Dough’s phone with pictures of her winning today’s game and talking about it with anyone who would listen)
Venom Dough was a starting costume designer in the industry when they were first called to design the Cookies of Darkness’ clothes, but they’ve gained much more experience and popularity as well as respect within the costuming industry since then. However, they always talk fondly about working in cookie run and were ecstatic when given the chance to design their own character’s + their siblings’ costumes. The press still hasn’t managed to get them to go one interview without adding something about the making of those clothes
