Things that arenât talked about enough about anorexia:
-insomnia(not being able to sleep and when you do sleep itâs only for a couple hours)
-food nightmares(having a realistic nightmare of eating a ton of food or being super fat)
-restlessness(always fidgety and not being able to stay completely still)
-stomach pains(eating even a little bit of foods CHURNS your stomach bc you are not used to eating the right amount)
-anger/irritable(getting mad easily and emotional at everything especially loved ones because of the hunger)
-dizziness(not eating for a day or two and finding yourself feeling nauseous and dizzy when waking up until you get something to eat)
-completely drained(having barely any energy)
-isolation(isolating from your friends and family most of the times non-intentionally because all you can think about is food)
-numb(feeling numb to everything and the only emotion you can really feel is anger)
-always distracted(not being able to focus in class because youâre thinking of calories, weight and food)
-terrible digestive system(even when we eat a little, we get stomach aches and when we eat a lot or a normal amount, the stomach aches are even worse and you have to go to the bathroom every 20 minutes)
-anxiety(being anxious to go out with friends bc of food, being scared to go on dates because of food, being scared that people will think youâre as fat as you see yourself, and being scared to recover)
-muscle loss(even though we are losing a lot of fat, a lot of muscle also goes away which makes you even weaker)
-guilt(feeling super guilty and ashamed even when eating a normal amount or not as little as was planned)
i can only sleep between 4-8hours (if i'm lucky it's 10hrs)
i have severe night terrors that makes me unable to process properly
i move my body a lot
it bloats and i would want to throw up
i would be pissed off so much if you annoy me
i can't walk on the stairs properly
i stay in bed until i need to do something

over the years, i have been taught what certain cravings mean and how i can replace them in a healthy way. so i figured, why not share it with you guys?Â
if you crave chocolateâŚ
your body needs magnesium. a quick fix for this is raw nuts and seeds, legumes, or fresh fruits.Â
if you crave sweetsâŚ
your body might need some of the following:Â
-chromium - have some broccoli, grapes, cheese, or chicken.Â
-carbon - chow down on some fresh fruit.Â
-phosphorus - chicken, eggs, legumes, or grains can help.Â
-tryptophan - similar to magnesium, have some raw nuts and seeds, legumes, or fresh fruits.Â
if you crave bread or toastâŚÂ
your body needs nitrogen. have some high protein foods such as fish, meat, nuts, or beans.Â
if you crave fatty foodsâŚÂ
your body needs calcium. broccoli, kale, legumes, or cheese help.Â
if you crave alcoholâŚÂ
your body might need some of the following:
-protein - think seafood, dairy, or nuts.Â
-avenin - chow down on some granola or oatmeal.Â
-calcium - broccoli, kale, legumes, or cheese help. Â
-potassium - bitter greens or seaweed usually do the trick.Â
if you crave ice cream/shaved iceâŚÂ
your body needs iron. some suggestions are fish, greens, seaweed, or black cherries.Â
if you crave burned or grilled foodâŚÂ
your body needs carbon. chow down on some fresh fruits.Â
if you crave soda and carbonated drinksâŚÂ
your body needs calcium. broccoli, kale, legumes, or cheese help.
if you crave salty foodsâŚ
your body needs chloride. goat milk (yes i know thatâs a little odd) and fish help.Â
if you crave acid foods (burgers)âŚÂ
your body needs magnesium. just like chocolate, have some raw nuts and seeds, legumes, or fresh fruits.Â
if you crave cool drinks (milkshakes or malts)âŚÂ
your body needs manganese. some suggestions are walnuts, pecans, almonds, pineapple, or blueberries.Â
if youâre PMS-ingâŚÂ
your body needs zinc. red meat, seafood, leafy greens, and root vegetables are helpful.Â
if youâre overeatingâŚÂ
your body might need some of the following:Â
-silicon - nuts and seeds are a quick fix.Â
-tryptophan - eat some cheese, raisins, sweet potatoes, or spinach.
-tyrosine - vitamin c supplements should do the trick.Â
if you crave tobaccoâŚ
your body might need some of the following:Â
-silicon - nuts and seeds help, but stay away from refined starches.Â
-tyrosine - vitamin c supplements or red, orange, or green fruits and veggies can help.Â

Ok so here's a tip that can save your fucking life
If you're doing some extreme restricting (Intake lower than your RMR) and/or prolonged fasts (>14hours)
Keep a piece of candy on you at all times.
Something you know you wouldn't just eat normally. Take it if you feel like you're about to faint. Think of it as an emergency anti-blackout pill.
Make sure it isn't sugar-free too, cos that would defeat the purpose. I use a small lollipop for this, I only needed it twice but it sure did save my ass.
Sugar is metabolized extremely quickly (It's fully absorbed in under 30 minutes), and if your body is physically running out of energy, it's what you can use as an emergency source, since if you already feel like you're about to black out, you probably don't have enough time to get a regular meal.

It takes 3 months to make a drastic change to your appearance. By September you can be at your goal weight. By October you can dress in that Halloween costume you were waiting to wear until you lost the weight. By November you can wear big sweaters and cute socks and look ADORABLE. By December you can actually enjoy the holidays and not be concerned about that extra fat you used to carry around. By January, you can cross out âlose weightâ from your New Yearâs resolution because you were disciplined enough to get to your goal weight a long time ago. Just imagine where you could be if you just stick to your plans for the next 3 months.
