Q: Do you anticipate Jamie Benn returning to the Stars?
Nill: Jamie, I've talked to just shortly. We're going to talk - we're going to give him a couple weeks, but I want him back. I don't...I think he wants to come back, but I'm going to give him that time. He needs to go through this and figure this out. The organization does want him back, yes.
Q: We sort of feel like deja vu because it's similar to what you said last year, a year ago, was the conversation any different than maybe it was a year ago?
Nill: no, if any of you guys know Jamie, he's devastated, he takes these losses as hard as anybody, he takes responsibility for it. And he just needs to sit down and be a good father and a good husband right now and just chill a little bit, and that's what he wants to do. So I'm going to give him some time.
Q: Jim ... a lot's made from fans about the Captaincy role, which he's had for...
Nill: 13 years, 13 years I think. 12 or 13 years.
Q: ...That's remarkable...
Nill: That is, it's a great run.
Q: ...If we does come back, do you feel like the organization is in a place of transition and giving that C, that responsibility to a younger player?
Nill: If he comes back, no. He is definitely the Captain. You talk to anybody in the dressing room...he is a leader, he gets so much respect. So, so much respect. That's, uh, that would be a definite no. You know, everybody...I always enjoy, you know, when you bring players in from other organizations, you know, some trades we did and stuff, that's the first thing that comes up is how strong this room is and how much they respect the leadership in the room. You're always trying to figure out, is there some weaknesses here or there but I don't think that's a weakness on our team.
