the concept of "i am just a conglomeration of everything i've ever loved" is so wonderful to me bc yES!!! u are just... a bunch of experiences that you had cobbled together -- but more than that, you're the culmination of the things that your parents loved (or hated), and their parents, and their's, and it goes back and back and back bc some of the minerals vital to our living can only be forged in the heart of dying stars and that, i think is the important part, knowing that you are more than just you, the thought of you, or the feeling of you. you're every person who you've ever made smile or cry or laugh or scream -- you are such, such a part of the world and the world, the entire history of the universe, is such, such a part of you.
