Hello there!!! WOW I feel like it has been a bit since I have put up a blog post on here!!! Well it might have been a minute but I am super excited with what I have to share with you today. So recently a brand called Morning Pep sent me a bag of their 100% natural sweetener Xylitol. Now I do the Keto diet and I am always trying to find a natural sweetener that is low carb,low calorie, low glycemic and often they are too sweet or I feel like I need to keep adding more and more to get the amount of sweet I desire just right. I am sure some of you can relate. I know a lot of us whether we are Keto, Diabetic or just looking for a way to cut those pesky calories we are all usually looking for something we can feel good about AND tastes good.
My first impression was I love that it was granulated like sugar and I discovered that spoon for spoon it measures out just like sugar. Which is great because other than sweetening my cappuccino or other drinks I also like to play around with Ketogenic baking recipes. I get frustrated when using a sugar alternative product all the hoops I have to jump through to measure things out right. With this Morning Pep Xylitol I don’t have to worry about that at all.
The taste is excellent and usually a teaspoon in my coffee is all I need, that goes for teas as well. My husband which some of you know from my YouTube videos is picky as can be and he actually liked it and let me tell you he is not one for sugar substitutes.
While reading up on Xylitol I found not only was it a excellent way to tackle my sweet tooth without all the guilt but it has so many other amazing properties! Turns out unlike sugar Xylitol is ACTUALLY beneficial for the health of your mouth. I found these recipes for a toothpaste and a mouthwash.
1/2 cup of organic coconut oil
2 tablespoons of Morning Pep Xylitol
2 tablespoons baking soda
Add 8 drops of Morning Pep essential oils such as
Peppermint, Orange Oil or tea tree oil or combine them all!
Mix together and get ready for a beautiful, healthy smile
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup pure aloe vera juice
5 tablespoons Morning Pep Xylitol
2 tablespoons baking soda
6 drops of Morning Pep tea tree oil
Mix together and rinse for fresh breath and added oral health.
Morning Pep Xylitol is extracted from Birch not corn (not a fan of corn products) Birch trees are a slender fast growing tree that is chock full of all sorts of goodies our bodies love such as: Magnesium, Manganese, Zinc, Phosphorous, Iron, Sodium and Amino Acids. The bark of the Birch tree contains digestive, diuretic and anti pyretic properties as well. The buds of the Birch tree also have antibiotic properties. All I can say is this tree brings a lot of game health wise!
Morning Pep Xylitol is made in the U.S.A. and free of GMO, corn (I mentioned that), Wheat, Soy and Gluten. It is also Kosher as well. So no matter what your needs are and we all have a few this product brings a lot of positive to your body and your kitchen. For me it is something I definitely enjoy and have confidence it.
