Still, she has to push down a twinge of guilt welling in her chest -- but it’s not as hard when she remembers just who sent her on the run in the first place. 

     “Ever think that maybe you BELONG here?” The words are a sharp knife, Alison knows, yet she still drives them into Mona’s side with unrelenting force. Arms uncrossing, the red-coated girl stands tall once more, not a single hair out of place as she takes a step closer. “That maybe there’s a reason you got sent to the LOONY BIN and not jail? You’re c r a z y, Mona! Always have been, always will be.
