“when they ask what i’m reading and i can’t say a 100k word fanfic so i just say [insert classic novel]”, stop it. talk about the fic. talk about your interests. don’t let other peoples judgement stop you because you’re ashamed. do presentations on the art of fanfiction. write essays on the art of minecraft building. if your favourite peice of art is a random artist’s work with 20 likes on instagram then tell people that when they ask. scream and shout and yell about the art you love until you lose your voice, because art matters and artists matter even if they’re “just fic writers” or “just minecraft builders” or “just a random digital artist you follow”. they loved and cared enough to put their art into the world for you to see and what a disservice it is to not show you care. when someone asks you what you’re doing, reading, listening to, watching, etc, explain it to them. share the art you love and listen when other people share back.

not to beat multiple dead horses but the obsession with everything having an algorithm and need for things to be spoon fed to you with zero effort (even in literal archives!!) feels incredibly similar to the psychosis we’re watching with people being unable to function without an ai deciding their every action

tired of people asking me whether i believe in aliens or not i feel like that is one of the least interesting questions about space and just the concept of aliens honestly

genuinely at what point do we get so many sequels and live action remakes that the general public accepts how ridiculous it is because i’m so tired

genuinely things are getting so bad the urge to go back into the trenches with my interests from 7 years ago grows stronger every day
