day 18: How does this deity stand in terms of gender and sexuality? (Both historically and UPG)

Historically:

Loki is seen to be incredibly fluid in both his gender and sexuality, historically. Many sources even use the pronouns she/her on him, which further proves himself to be fluid in reference to sexuality and gender.

My personal experience:

As someone who is Queer, and Transgender, Loki has helped me to embrace those sides and factors in my life. He teaches me how to be ok with my gender and sexuality expression.

day 17: How does this deity relate to other deities and other pantheons?

Well…. it’s complicated. Loki and most of the other Norse Gods and Goddesses fail to get along. Like.. at all. I could only name a couple that don’t want him dead. This is because he is constantly playing trickery on the others.

day 16: How do you think this deity represents the values of their pantheon and cultural origin?

Something pretty big that Loki has done to me, and many other Lokeans was force them to learn runes. He broke 6 of my pendulums in order to make me learn runes. I think that shows how much he appreciates the usage of runes and his worshippers practicing his cultural representation.

Yes! I can actually name a few.

day 14: Has worship of this deity changed in modern times?

I would personally say yes, but also no. Many Lokean’s are very traditional with the offerings and worship that they provide to Loki, however some are far from traditional! (and that’s ok!) I would say i’m a mix of both. I offer him traditional things such as b33r, but I also provide him non-traditional offerings such as Kinder eggs or toys!

Loki is still worshiped as a deity throughout the world, however he was originally worshipped in the Nordic-Scandinavian nations. Although Loki is an ancient god, he continues to be worshiped by 1000’s daily!
