Edgar fixed his glasses as he read over the daily prophet. The paper was sprawled across his tiny table, his cream-cheese bagel and oat milk latte scattered across the pages like feature images.Â
He was reading an article about medical advances at St. Mungoâs when someone bumped into his table, spilling the coffee all over the writing. The words tried to scurry across the page but were bound by the article box they were trapped in.Â
âUh excuse me.â he said, slightly annoyed. âCould you maybe watch out next time?â Whilst Edgar was slowly getting accustomed to loosing Amelia, he was still more edgy than usual.Â
Everything since that night had felt turbulent. Between living in the holding cell for what felt like weeks while investigations took place and then finally being declared innocent under the imperious curse; while sheâd been officially given freedom and innocence, it didnât stop those staring at her with suspicious glares. If they hadnât before, they certainly did now. Frankly Marlene tried to stay far from Diagon Alley. Preferring Muggle amenities with cashiers who looked at her with kindness rather than worry or even pity. Still, Remus wasnât free to drag with her to make sure she didnât make a fool of herself so Rosa lee it was. Planning to merely slip in and out with a coffee in hand, thankfully for her it was quiet.Â
While Marlene was about to word a sincere apology, Edgars tone threw her off. Granted she couldnât imagine what he was going through, yet still that didnât excuse his attitude. âIt was an accident Edgar. Frankly there is no need to be a dick about it.â Marlene spoke, tone a little blunt as she, cleaned up the spilt coffee with the newspaper before setting it alight with a snap of her fingers. Giving it a mere moment before it had vanished into nothing. âStay there Iâll get you another one.âÂ
