in the movie, the one time grace got violent is when he punched a computer right after he discovered that the taumoeba can pass through xenonite

mind you, not once did he try to fight back when he was pinned to the ground and about to be sedated and put in a coma against his will. he specifically asked for shields instead of weapons when he was faced with a giant alien ship with still-unknown intentions. he has never resorted to violence not even when provoked

but the realization that his best friend might die a painful death because of a mistake he made filled him with so much anger that he for once, felt the need to get violent to let it out

edit: i js remembered he had a crashout after finding out astrophage was made of water too, i forgot lol. but i would argue that the gravity of the two situations aren’t really the same which is why i highlighted the one above more. thanks for the hit post guys
