Our car broke down. What we thought was the relay wasn’t, and it’s not the battery. It won’t start, and based on the signs, it’s either a starter, fuel pump, or the alternator. All of which are big costly fixes. I looked up the parts themselves last night, and the cheapest part is listed around $250 for our car. The most expensive is $600. We’re already behind on rent $1000, and we can’t afford to even pay rent now, because we’re forced to hemorrhage funds on paying for Ubers and Lyfts.

So I’m asking for help. I’ve applied to every organization and resource, but because we make too much for a lot of places we’ve been denied, and others just aren’t reaching back out. I care for my grandmother who has dementia, and my mother who is physically disabled, so being homeless without a car is a terrifying prospect.
