Dark twirls the dagger between his fingers, thinking. He refuses to bring up the topic of his summonings again, and ‘hey yeah I’m here on a mission from a world-ending deity to destroy you eventually and am shocked I got this far’ probably wouldn’t go over well. And he definitely isn’t going to say anything sappy like friendship, or whatever.

Do you ever think he thinks about the fact that the legend He’s traveling aside? Is going to meet a very similar fate to him. And if not worse because he won’t get a new body.

Do you ever think he truly gets upset about that whether it be anger, or sadness?

And then proceeds to get upset because of the selfish thought

I think it might be a passing thought, about all the things he could wish for. Why not wish for his body back, for instance?

The way I see it, there are a couple factors at play. One, he didn't really know about alternate versions of himself at the time. Two, his priority was helping the people around him--Cadence and friends needed the Triforce to get back home, there was no way Legato would want to risk them losing that.

Three, as much trouble as he has with his current form, Legato did choose this for himself. He certainly gets upset about it at times, and is uncomfortable recognizing this form as 'himself', but ultimately his spiral was more about missing the people he cared about. So while the thought might cross his mind, I don't think Legato would regret his actions back then.

Something that was around last year just popped into my mind and I would love to hear your opinion on it

What do you think would happen if legend when transformed into a bunny was thrown into water

Would he get a mermaid tail while still being a rabbit or not? :3

Tragically, I don't think he would.

Going strictly by the game logic, the only item Legend can use while transformed is the Magic Mirror (technically, the Moon Pearl is a preventative measure more than anything else--though I guess you can argue that the Beams temporarily disabling the pearl's magic proves otherwise). And as much as I love the mermaid curse concept, ultimately the skin is an equippable item that functions like the Zora Flippers...which don't work when transformed in alttp.

How this person knew the heroes enough to make pranks specific to each hero, means they probably know them…or they’re just a very dedicated historian with a mischievous streak longer than the entire history of Hyrule, and the magic to pull it off.

The merman was definitely not just a fish. Despite fins and slitted pupils, despite sharp claws and fangs, that expression of sheer delight he'd made when he finally got his hands on Twilight's fish had been nothing but human.
