My name is Kepler.

If you’re seeing this, you’re still alive, just like me. Roughly two years ago now, the sun disappeared, and ever since, our supplies are dwindling, we’re fighting to survive in a world that has already given up.

Despite it all, however, we are trying. Right now, I’m on the road with my partner, Twig, I don’t think we have a destination in mind, we’re just going to keep following a dark horizon and hope that we find enough along the way to keep us going until we can figure something out. We’re trying our best, that’s all anyone can do these days, keep fighting, keep living, show them that we aren’t going anywhere no matter what.

I’m going to be posting about our progress as we go, it’ll be on and off most likely, but either way, if these messages get out, I hope that somebody sees this and finds hope, a drive to keep going.

Feel free to reach out to me if you’d like, I’m going to attempt to make contact with other survivors, we’d all be best off helping each other out now, so send me messages, asks, whatever you’d like, anything to keep contact in the world now.

I lost contact with a lot of friends when the sun went down. When it first happened, either I wasn’t even in the same country, or their cell service must’ve died out. So, I guess I regret not doing more to find them. At the same time I’m glad I’m with Twig, they mean so much to me, I don’t think I could ever forgive myself if I lost them in all of this, but it still hurts to know that other friends may not have gotten through all of this

It had its challenges, honestly, for various reasons. I won’t get into all of them, partially for both of our privacy sake, but I’m sure you understand.

But aside from that, it was alright, we did our best leading up to the collapse. Twig and I knew each other online for the most part, met on a server together, we’d have stories together, play games, hang out, honestly I’ve never been closer with anyone else. Some of the best days of my life were because of the time we spent together

Twig has always been amazing, they’re great at the things they do, they put in their all, they’re hard working, even though they don’t see it all the time; they’re a great artist, I’ll tell you that.

In 2024, I left home to meet Twig in person, everything was going well, celebrated their birthday, it wasn’t long after that when the sun went down. We stuck together after that

We don’t really have a destination in mind, I don’t think. Ever since the strobe, we’ve just been heading in a single direction, hoping that we aren’t being followed, it’s slowly getting cooler as we go. But yeah, I don’t think we really have an aim, just moving. Do you have any ideas ??

Twig and I are making our way away from here, we’ve been driving for a little while now, it’s still warm, but we’re better off moving than we ever were back there.

We’re down south right now, the next town or anything isn’t for at least a few hours of driving, and I highly doubt you’re here considering how strobe-dominated it is, I’m not sure you’d have time, and plus, I’d rather you don’t risk yourself, I have an idea. Thanks anyway though, it means a lot

Mirrors ?? That’s a good point, that gives me an idea actually, they don’t like light either, do they ?? I could point a light at the mirror to draw its attention and run while it’s distracted, that way it doesn’t go after my light while I’m holding it.

There aren’t any massive ones around, this is a convenience store, but I could pry it out of a bathroom wall maybe, thanks

I might be able to make a distraction, then get back in through a hedge so we can leave, maybe. Need to wait for an opportunity. Any advice ?? If anyone is listening

Good idea, we’ve been doing that a lot of the time, but canned food lasts forever so we got used to just stashing it, the frozen stuff I’ll make sure is properly checked, thank you
