Star's Stuff

ARGH! So I've decided to do a temperature blanket (don't judge me), and I've been meticulously recording temps every day as you do. I don't plan to start it until the last 3rd of the year as I don't want it sitting on my loom all year and doing one row a day, that would drive me nuts. BUT. I can't decide colours. I am having a colour freak out. There's colours I won't use as I hate them (hello yellow! hello pink! hello brown! hello rental home beige/cream! etc) but I'm still dithering on what I've got and whether or not it'll work to my linking, hence the argh!

Election day for my state today, South Australia goes to the polls. My biggest concern is in the increase in far right racist party One Nation winning far too many seats, more than they deserve (they don't deserve any imo). I hope they don't, but we'll see when the count is finished. Also, I'm sad as there wasn't any democracy sausages (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democracy_sausage) at my polling place. Boo.

Saw Eivor (Faroe Islands) with her band and support Sylvaine (Norway) at The Gov on the 18th with A and C. She was amazing, even better than the first time I saw her when she supported Heilung. Incredible show from Fareo Rock Metal Goth Queen Eivor. Will definitely see her again when/if she comes back to Adelaide. Will do another post later when I've sorted out my own photos and vid. (Also, her bass player/keyboardist/tech muso looks like Marvel's Thor, if Chris Hemsworth were a musician and had one arm sleeved in blackwork tattoos.)

Fibre Feast 2026. As always, at Blackfriars Priory School, in the gym, though as the weather was horrible (HOT, humid, wet, like the sweaty armpit of Hell), it was also in a media room with magnificent aircon. Pics are some of my favourite vendors, all local South Australians. Always a temptation, FF, for anyone who loves fibre/yarn/yarn and fibre craft.

So the trailer for season 3 is amazing, but my favourite bit is the "not a divorce argument or is it" between Louis and Lestat with their lawyers present, and Lestat shouting at a barely-calm Louis and then descending into swearing in French at him. It made me cackle like a hyena, bc what Lestat is shouting translates (more or less) into "Go fuck yourself!" and that, his delivery, pronunciation, everything was *chefs kiss.*
