“Okay, and what’s the plan?” Sirius asked thoughtfully. As they walked thoughtfully the halls to their next class, James and Sirius fell into their normal conversation.

“Well, the ideal plan is to get a partner by then” James explained, obviously stressed by the pressure his parents had unknowingly put on him.

After receiving his weekly letter from home, the normally vibrant boy turned anxious from the comment his parents made about “being so excited to see who he would bring home for Christmas”

James was sure they meant no harm in it, but truth is, he didn’t have anyone to fulfill their wishes.

However, with the thought of disappointing his parents constantly in the back of his mind, he began scheming.

“And if that doesn’t work?” Sirius argued

“Then I’ll just have to find someone who’s willing to fake date me, I’m sure i can-“ a shoulder bumping into his stopped his words from coming out.

James looked over only to find a grey pair of eyes meeting his.

“Watch where you’re going, Potter.” Regulus Black hissed and continued walking away.

James’ eyes stayed static, though, in a complete trance as his mind raced though a million ideas.

“Well, at least you gotta give him credit!” James exclaimed, tilting his head to the side while looking at the wonky colourful shapes drawn on paper, now being hanged in the refrigerator door by a ladybug magnet.

“Yeah, at least my hair looks good” regulus said, not being able to contain his smile at the drawing Harry made at school that day.

The picture contained a tall James potter holding a small replica of himself - except he was wearing a Spider-Man shirt, because that was Harry’s favorite superhero - and using his other hand to hold Regulus’.

Now the artist behind the piece was asleep, while James and Regulus enjoyed making an improvised dinner together.

James: Hey marls, can you pass me my wand

Marlene: Sure thing, fronks

Peter:… what did you just call him?

Lily: what do you mean, cornmail?

Sirius: corn what?
