One of the most tragic parts about chapter 5 is that it's truly the no one fucks with kris chapter. Susie is farming suselle moments, ralsei hitting them with the no more dark fountains line, Flowery going out of his way to flame them, not even their DAD fw them????? I would also be ripping out my soul every chance I got if that's how things were going in my life

Susie moves around constantly, never had the opportunity to make friends and decided that being a bully was an easier archetype for her to fit into despite having a heart the size of a football field
Ralsei thinks his only purpose is making his two friends happy and ugly cries for the first time in his life after thinking he let one of them down
Noelle lives in a big empty house gated off from everybody else, and only lives with her scary cold mother. Imagine dissociating in front a public freezer so often that sans undertale notices. and your old best friend's divorced dad is there a lot which might make it worse
It took maybe three days for these guys to start making life changing decisions based off of each other which is almost exactly how it goes when you're fifteen

wish I could pull up screenshots from the game but I feel like outsiders interacting with krusielle treat it like a knight/dragon/princess situation where Noelle is sweet and innocent, Kris is literally only there to keep Susie away from her, and Susie will drag Noelle away to somewhere no one will ever see her again without them
The biggest examples I can think of are catti and carol who both explicitly try to put Kris in between suselle, and I feel like it also lines up with their dark world interactions/appearances (Noelle in the tower the queen put her in, Kris being an actual knight, the forced heteronormativity thing the weird route has going on)
I think it’s a fun idea to explore definitely
