Tomorrow get up an hour or two before sunrise to see the moon and planet Venus, the second-brightest and third-brightest objects in the sky after the sun.

Tomorrow before sunrise and for the next few mornings, get up early and look east. From everywhere in the world, you’ll easily see the waning crescent moon, the smallest planet Mercury, and Venus.

Tonight, look for a constellation that’s quite easy to see, if your sky is dark enough. Corona Borealis (the Northern Crown) is very exciting to find. It’s an almost-perfect semi-circle of stars. You’ll find this pattern in the evening sky from now until October. The constellation Corona Borealis is located along a line between Arcturus in the constellation Bootes and Vega in the constellation Lyra.

Tonight, from northern latitudes, you can easily find the star Vega in the eastern sky at dusk and nightfall. Vega acts as your guide star to the Keystone, a pattern of four stars in the constellation Hercules. Look for the Keystone asterism (an asterism is a star pattern) to the upper right of the blue-white star Vega.
