         JO BLINKS AT HIM BLANKLY ;   she has no idea what’s going on.  she could ask, but then again, does she CARE ?   books are a safe topic, at least.  jo eyes his cover.   “ i’ve read a little bit of it in high school, “   she says, though she doesn’t remember a whole lot from it.   “ is that for class ? “ 

        “ THAT COULD BE TRUE, FOR ALL I KNOW. “   except jo doubts it, because he hardly seems like the type to pull off some a complex heist – plus, she knows he’s just purposefully pulling her leg.  her eyebrows arch at his words.   “ you made a bet about whether or not you could be NICE ? “   she asks bluntly.   “ what are you, TWELVE ? “ 

         the way the boy said GALLAGHER GIRL was as if it was an insult, but bash felt a surprising swell of pride at the title.   “ i mean, we don’t need the sword. but symbols are IMPORTANT to a reason. “   bash was wasting his breath and he knew it.   “ fair enough. “   he certainly had better things to worry about then where the sword is – besides, bash was fairly confident it’d show back up again.  it wasn’t like it could’ve gone very far.

       “Of course.” art replied with a long sigh, he was not in the mood to argue, no moment was right to discuss symbols, elitism and democracy in that place. he didn’t fit in there and he didn’t need another person to say it out loud. “i don’t know if it’s my pessimistic nature speaking but something tells me that we’re not gonna talk about this theft for a long time, worse things always happen.”

       he’s deduced that whatever comes next won’t be in a linear fashion. if first comes love, then marriage, then a baby in a golden carriage - the proposed schematic of first comes murder, then a stolen sword, throws the pattern completely out of wack. it, simply put, doesn’t make a lick of sense. ‘   what do you think comes next ?   ’

there’s  probably  a  reason  for  this  all  —  maybe  life  just  likes  to  hand  out  bad  deals,  but  really,  atty  knew  things  were  fishy.  it’s  not  his  fault  that  this  all  happened,  and  things  keep  on  coming.  he  wants  to  go  home.  it’s  not  hard  to  hear  footsteps  as  he  sits  on  the  the  roof,  feet  hanging  off  the  edge  -  it’s  quiet  up  here  for  the  most  part  and  he’s  used  to  sitting  on  high  places  (  at  georgetown,  his  roommates  are  definitely  the  type  to  break  out  joints  on  top  of  parking  garages  and  shit  anyway  )  -  the  only  thing  missing  this  time  is  an  actual  blunt.  damn.  “i  wouldn’t  get  too  close  -  rouge  not  spy  kid,  you  know.”  way  to  sound  bitter,  atticus. / @gallagherstart·.

it might have been pouring rain and it might have been slightly cold, but that obviously didn’t seem to bother gabriella, as she twirled in the rain while the music coming from her phone was muffled by the noise of outside. perhaps she was motivated by the fact that she was slightly high or those couple of sips from that wine bottle in the corner, celebrating friday and dealing with the current situation, but the excuses weren’t that important to her in that moment. she was trying to have fun and she truthfully didn’t care about anything in that moment except how the rain felt on her skin. the girl spotted someone in the corner of the eye and stopped for a second to smile at them. “welcome to my impro dance session in the rain. care to join me?” / @gallagherstart

        the muffled noise of the music attracted art, and he noticed that the blonde probably didn’t seem to be in her normal state and there was not an ounce of judgment in him, if that was the way she found to deal with what was happening, let her be. feeling the raindrops trickle down his face, art shook his head walking to the opposite corner, sitting there. “i don’t dance. i can watch if you want.”

          her eyes narrow slightly at the look he gives her, because she can feel the judgment RADIATING off of him.   “ i wasn’t sleeping, “   she huffs.  if anything she dozed, just for a second.  not long enough to be actually asleep.  her hard gaze fades as he pulls out some sweets from his pocket, not having expected him to be actually helpful.  jo hesitates for a moment, unsure if she should be eating food from a stranger during a crisis like this, but her stomach trumps her logical brain this time.   “ thanks, “  she says carefully, still hesitant.  she’s not sure what she did to DESERVE this kindness, especially lately.   “ um, you want to sit ?   i’ll be done soon. “ 

“Your face doesn’t even wince when you say stupid shit, huh?” She yawns, starting to get bored. “What am I doing here in your room, Art?” She asks thinking about the obvious, there is no possibility of smoking in the dorm, someone would appear faster than if there was a fire going on.

        “let’s go for a walk, gallagher’s forest is a great place to study.” he insists on the joke they started in the text messages as he wears his other boot and laces it, walking over to the blonde. “let’s get high, blondie.”

not to be dramatic (except it’s jas, so yeah) but she has quite literally never been more tired and emotional drained in her entire life and that’s saying something for a girl who normally wildly oscillates between emotions. she hasn’t even begun to think about how to talk to the witness protection kids, if they’ll even want to talk to her, and she’s pretty much been camped out in the infirmary for the past two days. even with mari bringing her tea periodically, she’s craving something sweet for the stress so she’d hurried to her dorm for the vegan lemon blueberry swirl cheesecake squares she’d baked as a kind of thank you for the picnic louis had planned before he got, you know, STABBED. it’d be fair to say her mind is elsewhere as she makes her way back to the infirmary, resulting in her walking straight into a table corner and dropping her closed container on the floor. “oh…my god,” she says, her voice cracking. “they’re going to look so ugly now!” she didn’t even bother kneeling to pick up the container before bursting into tears. / @gallagherstart·

        after the president’s emergency assembly, art had only one goal for the rest of the semester and that was to ensure that his sister and her best friend, a legacy, were safe, even if he had to follow them. he had been on that task for some time now, lohri had decided to visit the boy who got stabbed by his major mentor. he knew there was something wrong with that dude, that antichrist face was too suspect for him to be innocent. art was leaning against the wall of the corridor that led to the infirmary when he saw the most random scene. the blonde bumped into the table and dropped something that should be food and started to cry. she did not seem to have noticed his presence and he would like it to remain that way since he had already opened up to enough people. but her cry made him sigh deeply, passing his hand over his face, before, with a low growl, he walked over to the girl and captured her container. “here it is, miss... you know it’s like my father used to say, there is no beauty inside the stomach, so just eat when you feel better and it’s all right.” he held it out to her, hesitating slightly as he lightly touched her shoulder. “i heard that he is fine.” he thought it was what she wanted to hear.

             THE PAST THREE DAYS HAVE BEEN A WHIRLWIND of emotion and exhaustion ;  she’s pretty sure the last time she’s felt so drained, it had been finals week at gallagher, during her very first semester.  the last thing she wants to do right now is run into any of the georgetown students, so she holes herself up in the library, the only place she can think they wouldn’t look.  however, because she’s barely slept  ( and it shows on her face )  she doesn’t notice herself dozing while reading her book until she hears something SLAM nearby.  jo jerks her head up, touching her cheek where an imprint of her book now lays.   “ can i help you ? “   she snaps, before realizing how much of an asshole she sounds like.  jo’s shoulders deflate slightly.   “ sorry… you don’t happen to have some sugar on you, do you ?   or a REDBULL ?   i’m trying to finish this chapter, and then the table’s yours if you want it. “   //   @gallagherstart·

Roxy wasn’t thinking much when she answered the texts and accepted Art’s call, and she intended to focus on just that, not thinking, at all. “I hope you know that this is not some kind of booty call.” She murmurs as she leans against the doorway of the room 402.

       art chuckles as he sits on his bed, grabbing one of his boots. “of course not, it was a blunt call. i don’t need a booty call, girls come to me when they’re in need.” he looks up, winking at the blonde.

grace frowns at the sound of self-deprecation. she hates it, even when she does it herself. “oh, i doubt that,” she says with a wave of her hand, “i think that every person is likable to at least… four to five people, minimum. if you go below that, you’re either doing it on purpose, or you’re just that much of a jerk—which i don’t think you are.” the blonde gently pokes his shoulder with her finger before taking another drag with her other hand, “you’ve got a sweet face.” it was a random observation, but nevertheless honest. she raises her brows at the mention of a sister, and for a split second, she forgets that siblings are a thing. “sister? who’s your sister?”
