bound by a pact

❝   I … didn’t know you came all the way to visit me.  ❞ The gesture was surreal at best, considering how barely they knew one another. Be that as it may, it’s not as though Alisha is unappreciative of the act (companions are hard to come by, after all ).  Inhaling some air, Alisha then expelled more and intertwines her fingers on the table. Lightly did her teeth grazes her bottom lip, accentuating her bare anxiety over her present predicament. ❝   It’s just that … I have committed an inexcusable offence to Zaveid.  ❞

“I did. Now you know.”

Well, more like she was bored and had come to bother Alisha while she was working. Poking at the cake some more, Edna grinned. An inexcusable offense to Zaveid? Really, whatever happened, Zaveid deserved it (probably). No sympathy showed on her face and, instead, she pointed her cake fork at Alisha.

“Whatever you did, that idiot deserved that and whatever else happened to him.” Not that she was worried, no, but really? Alisha doing something to upset that half-naked flirt? Edna may not know her well, but she knew that it wasn’t really a part of her character.

❝   Hm ? O-Oh.  ❞ Alisha was stolen from her reveries when Edna’s voice reaches her ears, and had her focus reinstated to the Earth seraph’s presence. Resting an elbow upon the table’s surface, she lightly weaves her lithe fingers through her locks.  ❝   My apologies, Edna-sama. My attention must have wandered.  ❞

“Pay more attention next time.”

Edna closed her eyes momentarily, opening them again after a few moments. Certainly the princess had better things to do than hang out with the Seraphim, but it seemed this was all to play nice.
