Who can tell me more about this brooch? As far as I know, it must be about 100 years old and comes from Afghanistan or perhaps Pakistan. What I know for sure is that the piece itself is made of some kind of brass and depicts an eye with seven tears flowing from it. The eye itself is inlaid with fine pieces of lapis lazuli, just as the seven tears are made of the same gemstone. It measures 7.5 x 7.5 cm (2.95 x 2.95 inches).
