Third chapter is up! Been having so much joy writing this and excited to share more of my tadc fanfic to you all!

Fanfic Summary:

Caine was deleted, gone from the circus. The humans could not live in a dying world without its creator. With only one way to move forward, Caine is revived, yet conjuring up a AI without all its files causes things to go differently. Caine’s memory files are corrupted. The humans have to deal with a powerless AI that needs as much help as them through the broken down world.

I can do exactly that. If I want to see them multiple times a week with no commitment and no exclusivity I can.

If I want to cuddle and kiss and not be any more intimate than that I can.

If I want to go on fun dates and spend time together and have little adventures but never call them my partner I can.

If I want to do these things with multiple people at the same time I can.

If I want to call it hanging out instead of dating I can.

If I want to keep things private but also post us being silly on my close firends stories I can.

I can do anything I want to as long as all the parties in the relationship are happy and it's not hurting anyone.

Ahhh wanted to animate the dinner scene so badly for fun lolll I hope we enjoy!! I actually made like a description on my perspective on how it would start in the au but you could also have your own if ya like! But here’s mine if you wanna read that:

A Right Man’s OBSESSION: Dinner scene

Right and Reginald started to hit it off well after he made wish. At first, he was a little numbed about it and felt afraid but stopped all his questioning after his Right Hand Man, who is now head over heels for him, showed nothing but love and showered him in it while showing no interested in anyone else. They soon went on a dinner date after now being together for almost a month now, and Reginald thought it was the best he could do to show his appreciation back but later their night was interrupted by a phone call he was receiving. He saw that Burt Curtis was calling, what could he possibly want?

Reginald excused himself to go answer and left Right alone at the table, which he did not like. As Reginald answered the call, Burt began talking to him seriously. He began telling him something that made him change his perspective about Right. He tells him how he’s been looking through his Right Hand Man’s heath records and found out he’s been lying about the cancer he had. It was just like he told him now because he wanted Reginald to stay with him.

Do you know what the actual etiquette is? The one that's been around since Tumblr began? The one that's been followed dutifully up until the last few years?

Once an AU becomes so prevalent it starts becoming bothersome, YOU DON'T MAINTAG THE CANON FANDOM. Yes, this is a gray area when it comes to what constitutes as bothersome. Yes, bloodymary is WAY beyond that line.

Instead of bailing on the canon tag, SPREAD THIS MESSAGE. If someone refuses to follow this etiquette, BLOCK THEM.

You owe it to yourself, to your community, and to new fans who won't know the fandom exists in some obscure tag. Stand your ground and be vocal about this etiquette.

PS-- to the AU fans who insist they won't be found without the canon tag: yes you will. People subscribe to a tag when they know that's the fandom they want. People use the REGULAR SEARCH function to discover it. If your post has canon character or franchise names in it, or even non-canon tags, a regular search will display those.

Something like Breaking Bad, for example, has low squiggability (that’s what I’m calling this quality). It’s tightly written, the characters are consistent, there’s little left to interpolate or extrapolate. Obviously, people DO write fanfic of Breaking Bad, but it still has a low squiggability score. Whereas something like Supernatural has a high squiggability score. Fantasy and science fiction often have high squiggability scores. This suggests squiggability could also be related to worldbuilding and potential for people to borrow a premise or setting.
