loki: I might be stuck here getting electrocuted but at least Thor is going to handle ragnarok so I can live my life in peace
-3 minutes later, thor has no escape plan, hela is winning-
loki: I cant believe I have to do everything myself around here because of your painful incompetence, tHoR
“I can’t believe I have to do everything myself around here because of your painful incompetence, tHoR” is pretty much Loki’s entire life. 😂
It really is.
Loki: *is there for Thor whenever Thor needs him in the deleted scenes, their history, and on film*
Every idiot ever: OMG!!! POOR THOR! LOKI HAS BEEN TRYING TO KILL THEM THEIR WHOLE LIVES!!!! AW LOOK AT THEIR BROTHERLY LOVE UWU *as Thor leaves Loki to a horrible fate while electrically burning his blood which is worse because he’s Jotun*
Fucking this, though.
Somehow, this fandom has an image of Thor as this big, loyal, overly affectionate golden retriever, and I have NO IDEA where the hell it comes from. It’s completely contradictory to anything we’ve seen happen on-screen, and it drives me fucking nuts.
When fanon overtakes canon.
(To be fair, I was taken aback by another tumblr post that pointed out that it’s fanfic that has Thor telling Loki that he loves him, rather than canon. Fanfic had made me forget that on-screen their relationship was, uh, not quite like I had absorbed via fandom.)
Fanon Thor > Canon Thor
I mean. Loki told Thor he loved him and Thor said thank you. But according to fanon, Loki is the emotionally-constipated one. 🤦♀️
LITERALLY LIKE ppl are always like “omg thors such a loki apologist🤣😍” when ITS LITERALLY LOKI THATS THE APOLOGIST like thor will literally want to start a whole fucking war and lokis like “guys cmon🥺🥺 hes just not ready to lead yet🥺🥺 give him some time🥺🥺 just a couple more years🥺🥺 don’t worry thor🥺🥺 your day will come in time🥺🥺 cmon guys just give him a chance🥺🥺 guys🥺🥺 cmon🥺🥺”
