"Well, yeah, I know. I just think you deserve it. Not for any real reason or anything, but. I dunno. Whatever."
"Here," he said, quickly handing her the bracelet he’d gotten her before he embarrassed himself even more. "It doesn’t look like much, I know, but hey, it’s got star-shaped charms on it so I figured it was perfect."
Wait a second.
"…My mother’s money," he scoffed. "What makes you think I didn’t buy it myself?"
Crystal couldn't help but chuckle a bit. Gold was getting pretty embarrassed about the entire scenario, and it was very amusing to her. When he handed her the bracelet, she blinked and looked at it in surprise, turning it over in her hands.
"It is perfect," she exclaimed, slipping it onto her left wrist. "Thank you, Gold!"
She pulled him into a hug, firm and loving, and rested her head on his shoulder. "I love it, you know. Thank you, really and truly."
