"Here," he said, quickly handing her the bracelet he’d gotten her before he embarrassed himself even more. "It doesn’t look like much, I know, but hey, it’s got star-shaped charms on it so I figured it was perfect."

Wait a second.

"It is perfect," she exclaimed, slipping it onto her left wrist. "Thank you, Gold!"

"What's this-?" She took the package in her hands and looked at it for a moment, reading the tag and smiling widely.

[Joyous as such an occasion was supposed to be, it being often marked by elaborate celebrations, colorful bits and pieces of decorations strung about skillfully, and a huge myriad of several foods to indulge in, Silver was never very fond of it.  It simply wasn’t something he was best suited for—in other words, it was never really his thing to begin with.  Regardless of his own aversion to such celebratory courses of action taken in response to someone’s birthday coming up—most of such potent aversion was directed towards his own birthday though—he supposed that for a few select individuals he would make an exception to the rules he had set in place surrounding such occasions and purchase something to give as a gift.

That was it though.  This was as far as he was willing to go.  The exchanger’s absolute ‘limit’ to these sorts of things that is.  As a result, approximately two weeks in advance, the redhead had gone out on a small excursion of his own, doing something he had done many times over with Blue—only this time he was alone—Silver glancing about carefully in his search for an appropriate item Crystal would both appreciate and find some use for.  Eventually he came across the pokeball section of the fairly large store and picked out a few before bringing them over to the cashier over by the cash register and paying for them.  Of course he could’ve simply stolen them with ease, however Silver was almost one hundred percent certain that the blunette wouldn’t exactly approve of a stolen birthday gift if she were to ever find out.  Besides, with the money he earned from that job of his there really wasn’t any need to steal anyways.  It was best to keep a low profile and simply refrain from doing anything considered to be ‘morally wrong’ unless it was absolutely necessary.

Her mother was absent, as per usual- she was probably planning something for the Capturer, as much as she protested against a party or anything of the sort. She scowled at the thought; sitting and reading as she presently was is the only way to spend one's birthday in her eyes. Unless, of course, said person wants an elaborate setup, but she did not.

A knock at the door caused her to look up from her book, and she wondered briefly who it might be. Her first thought was Gold--they never did see each other very much, unless he bothered her at work--but she was almost positive that he wouldn't take the time to knock so politely. Closing the book she had been reading, she slid her bookmark into it and traced steps over the carpet to her door, pulling it open with a quick flick of her wrist.

"Silver-!"

[TEXT]:  I suppose as odd as it might sound, I was taken aback by what you texted in return.  I had no problem with the actual content. 

[TEXT]:  Don’t worry about it Crystal

[TEXT]:  That aside, don’t worry about what others might say should they figure it out.

[TEXT]:  I’m not concerned about what others have to say or what their opinions might be of the matter.  Conserve your energy for something that’s actually worth proceeding with said actions for.

[sms] Well... all right.

[sms] I just don't want you to be uncomfortable! I'm never sure what to say in situations such as these--I just want to get my point across.

[sms] That point being that I have no problem with such things and don't think of them as changing a single thing about the person in question.

[sms] You have a point, though. With how much he bothers me when I'm busy, I should save my strength for him.

[sms] I had no idea. Really, I never would have guessed that.

[sms] I get why you’d think it would be surprising… but ultimately, it doesn’t change a thing.

[sms] You’re still Silver. A young man, my best friend, named Silver.

[sms] What I mean to say is that I'm grateful to be someone you would trust with something as big as that.

[sms] And I'm glad to accept you for who you are--that being said, if anyone finds out and bothers you

[sms] I'll kick them.

[sms] You can tell me anything, you know that.

[sms] I had no idea. Really, I never would have guessed that.

[sms] I get why you'd think it would be surprising... but ultimately, it doesn't change a thing.

[sms] If you feel that I should know, then chances are you’re right.

[TEXT]:  If it was something bad, truthfully-speaking I wouldn’t bother with telling you at all.

[sms] You can tell me anything, you know that.
