no, she isn't Kris' headband, or an imaginary copy of Asriel, or any of that, and yes I am a transfem Ralsei truther but that's completely irrelevant to the theory mostly so just suck it up.

As Ramb and Tenna mention in chapters 3/4, darkners can remember their encounters with lightners, even if they're regular objects at the time. Ralsei has spent four chapters with the fun gang now, and she's said nothing about any sort of past with Kris. obviously this wouldn't have been the biggest secret she's held on to, but I'd still think some sort of hint would've been dropped about that connection by the halfway point of the story if she was related to Kris directly.

And similarly, Asriel absolutely would've mentioned Kris to Ralsei at some point if she was a darkner related to him. She'd absolutely have had more information to go on than just vaguely knowing there'd be a human in the prophecy.

Speaking of the prophecy, Ralsei knows it. she knows it very well. And darkners are shaped by lightner's beliefs. Kris is absolutely not a devout deltarunist, if father alvin is anything to go by. I'm sure it's possible for a darkner to have knowledge that the lightners making them don't, (see: Serial Number Q5U4EX7YY2E9N) but idk I think it'd be kinda weird for someone who doesn't care about church at all to have an imaginary friend who's that into it. the only darkners who seem to care about the prophecy at all are Ralsei and the ones in the church, and even then there's not a ton of them.

Of course tearing down other theories is fine and dandy, but I should at least offer up my own solution if I'm gonna go around acting like I know stuff. So here:

berdly is like, incredibly abrasive right? frankly comedic levels of abrasive, especially to certain kinds of players. that’s his role in the story, to be a little shithead who’s so pathetic it’s funny. a walking punchline. but really, like queen said, there’s nothing wrong with him, at least nothing that it isn’t normal for a teenager to have “wrong” about them. he’s just annoying.

but being annoying is one of the most dangerous things a fictional character can be.

so many times i’ve watched someone play chapter 2 and very quickly wonder out loud, semi-jokingly, if they can kill berdly, usually not long after he’s introduced in the dark world, often going as far to say they would be willing to abandon the pacifist route to do so.
