          “mmm nah, they’re boring. people who are stupid, arrogant, prideful, fickle and prejudiced are boring by default. no room for fun in there.” orange blossom chirps in response, slipping off the couch into a momentary handstand that they easily fold out of, legs coming over their head and body flipping into proper position. “ugh, but they’re all boring, too. humans are fun! so easily tricked! everyone here knows better, and i don’t want to work and then have the whole conclave coming after me ‘cause of a few harmless pranks!”

          tongue pokes out at him and they consider clambering up his side before choosing not to. “if you ripped my arm off i’m fairly certain you would have to answer to the seelie queen, which would be quite messy. you lot aren’t fond of messy, right? at least last i checked!” they skip rather than walk alongside him. “oh, london is grey and bland as ever! i do know a few clubs that have sprouted up around the city since you’ve been gone.”

          “oh, they aren’t all so horrible! i met one once that was fun! he died. they all die. so sad, isn’t it?” they smile even as they speak of such things - such short little lives. they remind orange blossom of soap bubbles. pretty to look at, easy to pop.

          “don’t be boring,” anyways, if something isn’t theirs, they can just take it, right? and then it will be theirs. “it’s my concern! come on, just tell me! i’ll find out eventually. i always do!” words are chirped even as they hook hand into his own and swing their joined arms around. “where to?”

          they kick legs up, swing themselves around so knees are hooked over the back of the sofa and head dangles from the cushions. “oh, no, you’re wrong. things could be fun here if shadowhunters weren’t so law and order all the time. they need to get over themselves!”

           they kick legs upwards, skirts falling about their legs as they circle ankles this way and that. how plain life has become! head tilts to look at the other fae and the impish seelie pouts at the other. “there ought to be a masquerade, like before! they were so fun - so easy to play about with the mundanes when we were able to dress as we wished and charm them into following us,” or maybe snow didn’t do that. orange blossom has always been a bit more puckish than accepted by the clave and the like.

          a good cause. as if they care about shadowhunter’s good causes. they swing their legs and cock their head at the glamoured up hunter. cute. orange blossom hums their little tune happily as they think on if they are going to go tell people about this or not. surely the hunter doesn’t want anyone to know what’s going on. the seelie cocks their head and grins toothily. “you tell me now and i won’t ruin it. anyways, this is a fun one - playing being someone else when you aren’t.”

          pink tongue pokes out at the other upon being called little one - they aren’t so much younger than the vampire - only a handful of centuries separates them. they leverage themself up and sit, slumped dramatically over the arm of the sofa. arms dangle over the edge and fingertips brush the floor forlornly. “the concalve is so boring, i do not want to talk about them. just thinking about them upsets me!” face is pulled into a mimic of a sad expression before they grin again and kick their lags lazily. “i miss stealing names. i haven’t taken a name in centuries! and it’s so easy these days, with everyone just flinging their names around!”

          they whine again, roll off the side of the couch and land on all fours gracefully. after a moment limbs collapse dramatically as they sprawl themself across the carpet and drop blone head upon his feet. “see, you are proving my point! so boring! why are you shadowhunters always so dull? i understand it fits your visual aesthetic or whatever but seriously, all work and no play? must be so sad.” they push themselves to stand and make to grab playfully for his book. “come on, what is so interesting in that book of yours?”

          “you people don’t know how to have fun anymore,” voice whines unhappily as they drape themself across the sofa. legs dangle over one of the arms and a hand lays across pale forehead in a mockery of a swoon. “i’m so bored. what happened to feasts? feasts were fun!” and easy to play with mundanes during. orange blossom rolls onto their side and props head up with bent elbow and palm pressed against cheekbone. “let’s do something fun.”

          “oh, no!” they hum, single syllables tripping giddily from rose-bud lips. “i’m just looking around!’ orange blossom likes to know the ins and outs of every building they occupy, and this one is no different.

          “are you playing tricks?” words jitter off their lips, amused giggles falling from them in pearl-like peals of laughter. they don’t care if this shadowhunter is trying to trick them - orange blossom likes tricks. like playing tricks, but it is always funny when someone tries to pull one on them. narrow arms leverage their small body up onto the edge of a table and feet sway to a silent, jaunty tune. “you’re pretty good at them! if i didn’t know better i would have thought you wren’t tricking at all.” see, orange blossom is well versed in such things. glamours and disguises. cloud of white skirts flow about their legs as they kick, head tilting at them. “it’ll be out little secret, though.” a wink is offered alongside sharp-edged grin.
