Okay, one thing that we all know is that Dave Filoni loves to cause us emotional pain/trauma, so I thought I'd make a list of characters who's deaths made me cry in each series Filoni directed based on how much I cried.

Okay, remember the post I made about hypothetical neurodivergence within the Ghost Crew? Well, I have some new information, and I'd like to update some of my guesses. Specifically Hera's. I first listed Hera as having Anxiety disorder, ADD, and OCD. I do think she has Anxiety disorder, but I'm dropping the ADD and OCD to adjust it to just ADHD.

Okay, another week, another ramble. I just finished episodes 7&8 of Shadow Lord, and wanted to take a second to look at how different my persepective on Rook Kast is. We all remeber that I absolutely hated Rook when I wrote the first one of these. I couldn't stand who she was, I hated how different she was from her actress, I just hated her. That eventually turned into respect, and now, I actually really like Rook. Last week (or the week before IDK, long week) I said that I respect Rook because of how loyal she is to Maul. Elaborating on that, during episode 8, we actually see a group of Maul's mercenaries turn on Maul and try to flee, out of the 11 Mandalorians that Maul has, Rook is one of 4 (or more, IDK) that stays with him. Which is incredible, because, by this point, Rook has been part of the Shadow collective for somewhere between 10 and 15 years (late 20s early 30s SWCW late 30s early 40s MSL). WHICH IS A LONG TIME!!! S0, huge respect to her for just that. But, at the end of episode 7, Maul seems to have died, AND ROOK IS THE ONLY ONE WHO BELIVES THAT HE'S STILL ALIVE!!! But we also see a bit of her fear that Maul could actually be dead, and the grief that comes with it. Which adds just another layer to a character that most of us think we have figured out. Then, later in episode 8, we see the relief when she finds out that he's alive. And the credit goes to everyone who worked on this, but mostly to Rook's actress. Because, the writers may have written all this, but the emotion, the voice, who the character is, is thanks to the people who played them, so, kudos to them. Okay, I'm done ranting, have some fanart.

Okay, remember last week when I went on a tangent about how much I hate Rook Kast? Good, because I just finished episodes 3&4. Honestly, I don't hate Rook as much now, I think that now that I've had a bit of time to sit with it, she's actually a really good character. Not my favorite, by any means, (Hera will always have that place), but I think it's interesting to hear Vanessa's voice hit the more accented and deeper point. We heard it in Rebels S2 Ep7 "Homecoming", but that was very much a french/ryloth accent. What we're hearing with Rook, is very much an english-leaning accent with a hint of something else. It's honestly incredible. Also, huge respect for Rook, she's incredibly loyal to Maul, even though he's a grade-A jerk to basically everyone. Anyway, that's my thoughts this week, here's some unrelated fanart.

Okay, I have to put this out there. After watching the first two episodes of Maul: Shadow Lord. I absolutely hate Rook Kast. I know how controversal that sounds, but here me out. I've been following Vanessa Marshall's career since I was 13, and I've heard the voices of so many characters that she's played and I listen to Pod of Rebellion, so I generally know the kind of person that she is IRL. Rook Kast is the complete opposite of that. So it's really easy for me to absolutely hate this character. However, if I separate who Vanessa is from Rook, I honestly love Rook Kast. She is an incredible character, and I'm not going to say it, but I kind of wish that they had cast someone else to play her. Hopefully, as the series goes on, we'll get to see a bit more of Vanessa's personality come through in Rook. Okay, I'm done ranting, have some fanart.

Okay, small detail i greatly appreciate, Kanan's sleeves before he was blinded vs after. Before he's blinded, his sleeves are the right length, but after, his sleeves are visibly too short.

Okay, so, remember the thing I was working on? I now have a slight dilemma. I have four options, and I'll put out a poll for you to choose your favorite. As a reminder, here's the characters I'm combining.

I had a thought, it's going to become fanart. But I thought that I'd combine Hera Syndulla and Rook Kast, because they have the same voice actress, so... we'll see how it turns out.
