Goodness, it's been a while since I posted anything! Have a cute batstarion as an apology!

I've just uploaded the reworked version of 'Bat'tered by the Storm, nothing major has been changed I've just fixed some of the clunky writing and added more detail/several scenes to make it read better. It's jumped up nearly 8000 words so I did add a little bit :P

As always I had a bunch of help from Dracoscriptor who betaed the new version for me :D

Even with his increased confidence when it came to flying, he’d certainly never fought whilst in flight, and when also taking into account the absurd size difference, this match up was like putting a lapdog against a fucking bear.

He’d instantly recognised the look in their vacant eyes; they had to be feral. Starved to the point where they couldn’t think, mindlessly following basic orders from their master, no better than beasts. All gnawing teeth and flying spittle.

He blinked slowly, trying to clear his vision, yet nothing changed before him. There was nothing but cold, dark emptiness surrounding him on all sides, an inky black void that seemed to go on and on forever. 

“Hey Gale, you said it was enchanted, right? Do we know what it does?” Everyone turned to face him, on rare occasions he really wished he wasn’t the person everyone assumed would know everything.

Astarion fluttered through the icy, cloud filled sky, getting buffeted by cold winds. Beneath him stretched a seemingly never-ending white sheet, there were barely even any trees present to break up the mass of bleak ivory.

“Gale... This is...” No words felt adequate for what Gale was giving him. It had been over two centuries since he’d last seen anything like this.

I've fallen a bit behind with my writing because work has been hectic lately, I've had to temporarily change hours which has cut down the amount of writing time I have. The next chapter needs more time in the oven so I'll post it next Friday, I'm hoping that work will calm down soon.

“I guess I’ll just retreat back into our tent now.” Astarion announced loudly making his dejection known to all. “And then I’ll spend the rest of the day in the seclusion of Gale’s robes. Hidden away… Alone.”
