Mudbug is actually an odd case in my collection since the Beanie Baby he is, Runner, has a vague species. In the original mean poem, Runner is implied to be a mongoose

But in the rewritten nice poem, the whole poem is about how this is a vague creature for our identification. Mongoose IS included in the list of animals they COULD be, but now it is up to us, the beholder

SO, with that, I do actually count Mudbug to my mustelid count! I have no idea how divisive that is, I have no idea if anyone cares about this but me, but there you go. Mudbug is a vague mustelid to ME!!
