There are a number of considerations that need to be made when selecting your perfect pair of sunglasses for a ski trip; Quality of Lens, Quality of Material and Style. Quality of Lens

S&F spent a significant amount of time sampling hundreds of lenses to come up with the best three lens options for your custom sunglasses for skiing. The first priority was UV protection, therefore all of our lenses are 100% UV certified. For us the next feature was to make looking through the lenses in your personalized sunglasses an experience in itself. Each lens truly improves any view by adding a beautiful filter to your day on the slopes.

Azure: Blue lens that makes even grey days look beautifully blue and bright, whilst still filtering out the intense sunlight.

Sepia: A subtle traditional brown lens with a breath taking filter that is hard to describe without experiencing it for yourself.

Smoke: A dark black lens with a hint of red that is perfect for more intense sun conditions. This lens looks particularly good in our matte black frame.

Quality of material

More common sunglasses brands such as Ray Ban, Oakley, etc. make their frames using molded plastics. This is the cheapest form of manufacturing sunglasses and the result is a cheap look and feel. Staple & Ford only use the highest grade hand molded acetates to give a quality finish to every pair of custom sunglasses. The acetate is reinforced with stainless steel to add strength. When designing your S&F custom sunglasses you are given 3 frame acetate options; Classic Tortoise Shell, Matte Black and Speckled Tortoise Shell. Regarding temple options you can produce your own personalized sunglasses using 4 different acetate options; the three mentioned above plus a translucent option for a set of truly personalized sunglasses.
