Each day we spend more and more time exploring how the technology behind Stampery, the Bitcoin Blockchain, could improve processes and how we can build a more efficient tomorrow. Stampery enables a new world of opportunities for many industries using the decentralised technology of the Blockchain. With our powerful API we allow programmers from anywhere in the world to develop solutions using our core-service by integrating it in all kinds of third-party applications.

We were recently contacted by two of the top Spanish entrepreneurs in the Bitcoin space, who are currently focused on teaching what Bitcoin and the Blockchain are, to big companies highlighting the opportunities it opens for their businesses with a set of moocs called Blockchain Toolkit.

“Our main mission is to train our students to understand the Blockchain in depth, to let them identify areas and processes in their companies and markets where they can apply the huge potential that this technology has”, says Roberto Díaz, co-founder of Blockchain Toolkit.

We started exploring together a new use case based on the common problem that HR departments face each day, and which Stampery could solve: providing reliable, immutable and auditable studies certificates.

Candidates when applying to job offers, lie in their resumes with fake positions and studies. Checking if an application is trustworthy is time consuming and not always possible.

We are obsessed with design. We’ve always been. And, since the very beginning, we knew our goal would be to create products that make people’s lives easier.

The joy of seeing how we can disintermediate industries and save time to our users, so they can focus on having a happier life, is what drives us.

We have developed the world’s best notarization product. You just drag and drop a file, we take care of the rest. It’s been a long journey and a lot of customer feedback and both design and technical decisions.

And, in order to continue putting design as our first priority, we have spent the past months looking for the perfect person to lead the design of both our notary platform and our upcoming products.

Someone who has a clear product vision, who is data driven and who understands how to interpret human behavior in order to create beautifully crafted products.

So, today, we’re extremely happy to welcome Marcos to our team.

Marcos has more than 10 years experience working with recognized companies, such as BBVA, Destinia, Real Madrid... He has a very interesting mix of expertise areas, from user behavior to UI design going through analytics and programming. He has also created a very cool Sketch Plugin. What a perfect match for us!

With the app, you can now stamp any photos, voice notes or files in no time, opening a new world of possibilities.

For example, if you were stuck in traffic, you can now prove it :)

Or, you can record a vocal contract, which are legally binding in a lot of countries but extremely difficult to prove they happened. Now you can create them on the go just by tapping a button.

Stampery Inc, the company that leverages blockchain technology to bring to the market digital data notarization, announced today the closing of a financing round of $600k, leaded by Draper & Associates with Boost VC, Blockchain Capital and angel investor Di-Ann Eisnor, head of Growth at Waze.

Danny Cabrera is building the future of regenerative medicine - Biobots is rolling out a high resolution desktop 3D bioprinter that builds functional three dimensional living tissue.

Sukh Sidhu from Dray really made our day: he’s one of those guys whose drive and passion really levas a mark. He’s about to disrupt the logistics/supply chain industry, while making life easier for truckers in the process.

Stampery has been chosen to participate in the main tech event in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, the “Tech Crunch Disrupt” Battlefield.

“We are very proud to be able to launch Stampery, the XXIst century’s notary, in the US insuch a prestigious event. Stampery solves data certification problems, let them be documents emails, contracts, creations etc.. with a technology developed on the bitcoin blockchain protocol, the current most promising technology” says Luis Ivan Cuende, startup co founder and CTO.

Stampery allows individuals and companies to certify any type of data generating accurate, reliable and immutable proofs of existence, integrity and ownership. The product is a HTML5 service, a native iOS app will be launched shortly, and an API. Anyone can access, register and use the service for free, and Premium customershave access to the PRO plan at 9,99 euro a month that enable them to certify up to 1.000 documents per month. Larger companies have tailored plans per users and certificates.

The first users testing the service, currently over 700, principally in legal departments, creative economy, marketing and creative agencies, are able to use the platform as a certification base or use the storage service offered in each plan.

“The bitcoin/blockchain as of today is regarded like the internet was regarded in the 90’s, with great potential. Our product is a non financial bitcoin application because it uses its extraordinary features to generate reliable and unforgeable proof of anything that has occurred and that has generated a digital register. The proof of existence, integrity and ownership that Stampery generates is valid globally, unchangeable, and can be verified by any independent third party in a question of seconds. This is revolutionary because today maths and not trust in a central authority allows us to verify that something has occurred in a certain moment in time. Because of its decentralized characteristics, the blockchain is completely safe being protected by the most powerful network of computers in the world” explains Daniele Levi, the company CEO.

Stampery has developed a unique technology for scalability that is in the process of an international patent. This will permit millions of certifications per second.

“Our original scalability solution - says Luis Ivan, 19 years old, and one of the most recognised hackers in Europe - allows us to be extremely ambitious and to integrate Stampery’s functionality with hundreds of other services, like for example with Dropbox who already has 400 million users”

The team that created Stampery is now on their third project in the bitcoin/blockchain industry, and they have been selected amongst more than 1.000 startups to be presented in San Francisco´s TechCrunch Disrupt Battlefield. A beta of the product was launched in May this year, and has participated in the international intensive acceleration programme Menorca Millennials in its first edition.

“Thanks to Menorca Millennials we have had made some incredible contacts - Daniele says - and this is bringing forward new interesting business. With Menorca Millennials a new model, very innovative, open to the world is being created, it puts together international talent with mentors on the highest levels and investors from all over the world.”

TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco, was celebrated from the 21st to the 23rd of September 2015. TechCrunch Disrupt brings together more than 1,500 first level innovative tech and investors, as well as 150 startups, The format envisages conferences by top entrepreneurs and important figures that are creating the development of emerging startups. Startup Battlefield is celebrated in the afternoons, 30 innovative companies, one of them being Stampery, are presented for the first time, competing over 50.000 USD, exhibiting their capabilities along with another 120 startups in the Startup Alley.

I’m always amazed to find the incredible talent we have at Spain.

But a year ago I got to know a very special case of a really young developer who moved to live on his own at the extremely early age of 18, which is probably the less common thing, because in Spain people usually move out of home after they’re 25-30.

He did so because he found a job, that is also pretty unusual in Spain where unemployment is at crazy rates, specially youth unemployment.

He didn’t attend university at all, he has a 100% hands-on approach. And I absolutely love that, because that’s the way we work at Stampery. We are builders. We like to create. We are product-focused.

His background relates to backend technologies such as Go, Ruby and NodeJS, but he is also extremely passionate about iOS development, and he has already released a Bitcoin app for the iPhone.

Since the very beginning of Stampery, we set our culture very straight.

We are freedom lovers. Bitcoin and the blockchain were created by visionaires, we may not exactly know their names, but they were individuals breaking the status quo and empowering freedom.

And we love to do the same. Néstor, who is only 18, is the one in charge of the whole Stamperys’s design. In my case, I’m 19 and I’m the one in charge of the technology. But age doesn’t matter. What matters is that we are breaking society’s molds. We don’t even have a degree, we just keep building.

Stampery has grown from an idea some months ago to something that works and people use. We’re still very early, and we know that, but we’re very proud to enter our next stage and welcome our first employee, Adán.

Adán is another one breaking the status quo. He’s 23, yet he has created the most used IM client for Firefox OS, with over 1M active users, and he’s a free software lover and hacktivist. And we love that.

Hooray! We are really happy to announce the release of our 2.0 version, finally!

After some months working hard creating a better product we have focused on improving the current user experience both in what you as user can see and even more in the performance of the platform.

Those are the main changes you’ll notice:

Added more API methods, specifically one to search for Stampery users; improving our external integrations not only for clients but also for interested developers who want to start exploring the benefits and applications of our technology.

Added fallbacks for a stronger Bitcoin network broadcast, in case something goes wrong.

As we announced, we are integrating a new, revolutionary way to prove your identity in a decentralized way directly from Stampery: Onename, a NY based company that lets you attach your identity to the blockchain in a super-easy way. Just type “+” followed by a Onename user when you upload a file in the authors box and that’s it! We aim to continue integrating Onename in a more meaningful way in the following months

Welcome two factor authentication! A big step forward to secure what our users store in Stampery. We really care about your data and your personal information.

Corporate accounts. We have a clear B2B approach so we have improved the way in which companies can manage multiple accounts and users with a simple and easy to use dashboard. If you are a company admin just register and go to Account Settings > Corporate and enable it. Anyway, if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us and we will help you ASAP.

New landing page. One of our challenges is the way in which we communicate what Stampery does and how we do it. That’s why we worked so hard on the current landing page in order to showcase the current product, some of our clients and the benefits Stampery can provide to your organization. 

Added a simple and concise walk through in the first login. This way, we quickly show some information such as the email you have to add to the BCC in order to stamp all your emails. It doesn't take more than ten seconds!

At Stampery.co we've integrated a new, revolutionary way to prove your identity in a decentralized way: Onename. Today we’re announcing the first step of our integration.

Onename is a system by which anybody can link their identity to a blockchain entry. This allows users to regain control of their personal information, sharing it with any app developers that they wish, without the approval of any third party. Social networks can be linked to the user’s Onename ID, reducing username squatting and guaranteeing in a decentralized fashion the identity of the user.

This is PGP on steroids. Or, at least, is a system closely related to PGP that achieves something that PGP never achieved: simplicity and, above all, user friendliness.

This is an important step for Stampery. Now, when you certify a file, you can include as authors anybody with a “passcard” (which is a Onename ID). You just have to type “+” + any Onename username to add someone as author to your certificate.
