It’s the 24th here in Japan, which means it’s officially @head-banga‘s birthday! 🎂🎂🎂

I developed a crush on Riley the day this picture was taken.  We wrestled a match there in Cathays that was fun and athletic.  Tall, handsome lad who could make me laugh and blow my mind?  I was sold.  And now here we are, nearly two years later, and this is the man I’m going to spend the rest of my life with.  It’s so incredible what he’s unlocked inside of me.  I’ve never really been with somebody who gave me both butterflies and made me feel so comfortable, like it was okay to be myself no matter how dorky or how sensitive I might be at any given moment.  That’s rare, but then again, he’s definitely one of a kind.

Which is probably good, because I’m not sure the world could handle two of him.

This beautiful, talented man is 33 today.  No matter what obstacles life has thrown at him, he’s found a way to succeed, to be brilliant.  Maybe it hasn’t been the path he wanted, but he’s blazed a trail regardless.  I couldn’t be prouder of him.  Of course I say that, then he goes and does something incredible, and that feeling just increases.  I have no doubts that he’ll still be amazing me when we’re old and grey.

So here’s to you, Riley.  Happy Birthday.
