Very proud to be working as Weave Technician at the Glasgow School of Art.  I learned  how to weave here, and was taught by the very talented Chantal Balmer, who I am currently covering for while she's off on maturnity leave.

I am still settling in to my new home and my new job, but new creative ventures are not too far from my mind.  Here are some inspiring woven textiles I came across.  Hopefully I will have some new work to post very soon.

You can take the girl out of the city, but you can't take the city out of the girl.  This is a lovely film about what Glasgow is.  I think it will always be the place I call home.

I have now been employed at David Howard for a month! In celebration, and to ease my longing for loom related activities I have treated myself to this book.  Please do watch this space for creative updates coming soon.

A slightly damaged, but still lovely, sun-set Leno Weave.

I recently visited the GSA Fashion and Textiles 4th Year "Work in Progress" Exhibition. I can't believe it's been a whole year since I exhibited my own drawings at the same show.  I was very impressed with the quality of the work from this year's final year students.  Two in particular were astounding - Knitter Leah Merrick and Printer Natalie Wardrope.  Really looking forward to seeing the finished textiles!
