The question, "Is Bruce a good dad?" is actually unanswerable in my opinion, whereas the question, "Does Bruce love his kids?" is very easy to answer bc the answer is obviously yes. Then the next question maybe would be, "Does the love make a difference?" and here's my answer to that: yeah. In fact I would argue that love making a difference might be the fundamental bottom line in regards to any (good) Batman story. Does it fix anything? Well, no, probably not in a measurable way. But does it make a difference? Yeah. And the proof, as ever, is Dick Grayson.
