Toward every space her laughter left behind;

Her nearness taught his wanting how to bloom

Love lived between the almost and the now,

In pauses, glances, breaths that dared not ask;

Only the courage to remove the mask.

Thus lust grew kind, and longing learned to stay—

I found my spirit in the morning breeze,
