Advanced Photoshop

Advanced Photoshop magazine is the perfect magazine for polishing up already great Photoshop skills. Aimed towards Adobe Photoshop professionals and enthusiasts, every issue prides itself on its unbeatable quality and sophisticated content.

I really like the effect used in this cover, as well as how the type was incorporated into the photo.

Wired Magazine

Wired is a full-color monthly American magazine and on-line periodical, published since January 1993, that reports on how new and developing technology affects culture, the economy, and politics. Owned by Condé Nast, it is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

The covers show some different picture effects that can be recreated. The type in the title is also very cool.

V Magazine

V Magazine was launched in September 1999 as the younger sibling publication to the limited-edition quarterly Visionaire. If Visionaire is a couture book, V is ready-to-wear. V is large-format and visually-driven, international in scope and collaborative in spirit. V is a magazine about fashion with a capital F and all the things that go with it: art, music, film, architecture…you name it. Before V was put into print, we thought of it this way: Imagine a wall of forty-four televisions, each tuned to a different station. Today you would need a wall of 250 televisions, but it’s still a good way to think of the insane and unpredictable mix of people, places, and things that V celebrates in its pages. V is a place where uptown meets downtown, celebrities mingle with total unknowns, high art converses with underground culture. Chic, wacky, fun, fabulous…in a letter: V.

V's covers are so cool because of the way the V is always incorporated into the picture. I like the idea of playing with transparency.

Traveler Magazine

Condé Nast Traveler is a US magazine published by Condé Nast. It has its origins in a mailing sent out by the Diners Club club beginning in 1953, listing locations that would take the card. It began taking advertising in 1955. In order to attract more advertisers, it became a full-fledged magazine, The Diners Club Magazine, in 1960. It later took the name Signature. Condé Nast bought Signature in 1986, and relaunched it under its current name the next year. In 1992, European Travel & Life magazine was purchased and incorporated.

I like Traveler because I love travel, and I think it would be cool to put myself in a destination I would like to see.
