Thank you to everyone who came and waited in line. It was so wonderful meeting you all. Thank you @penguinrandomhouse and @hayhouse for making this possible.

It was also nice catching up with old friends too. ❤️

I think I need a bit of time to digest how incredible today was. So grateful ❤️

Being a first time author has many challenges. But, I think the biggest one for me is avoiding promoting Amazon.

I mean. How does one promote a book and NOT mention Amazon?

I think I've done a good job, so far, in pushing people to smaller bookstores and libraries.

But, for the next 24 hours at least, I can't NOT talk about this sale.

The deal is too good and I know not everyone can afford full price.

So, if you can afford to shop locally. Please do it. If you can check my book out at the library... please do that.

But, if you've been waiting for a sweet deal for the hardbound edition or have a kindle... you absolutely have my permission to get that good deal and I hope you really enjoy my book.

(but just make sure you go visit your local bookstore and say hi to your librarian to balance things out a bit... okay?)

I have TWO coloring books coming out through Hay House this year.

I've never done a coloring book before. So, it's been real exciting.

One of the fun parts was taking one of the pages and coloring it in digitally for the cover.

I'm not great at digital art... but I think it came out pretty well.

What do you think?

There's going to be 40 illustrations per book.

The title of this book will be:

"Curls, Swirls, Braids & Beards

A Coloring Book of Self-Expression, Humanity & Hair"

(but this is still all super secret. So I'm not supposed to talk about it)

Didn't even come CLOSE to finishing my 2025 Travel Journal... so I'm going to just start 2026 right here.

Hopefully this year I can leave the Hobbit Hole a bit more.

Over 200 people and FOUR STRAIGHT HOURS OF SIGNING at Plaza Art in Nashville for my second ever book signing and I am still processing the kindness and generosity and art-sharing I experienced yesterday.

The line wrapped around the inside of the store and I felt so bad that people were waiting hours in line, but huge thanks to Kimber, Rachel, Eve, Caitlyn and Henry for walking the lines and keeping everyone hydrated and handing out bags of popcorn.

The art I received from artists who traveled all the way from Chicago and New Orleans and North Carolina and Alabama and even as far as Washington State left me speechless.

I can't express (mostly because I'm so horrible at expressing my emotions) how much it meant to meet you all. I hope I spent enough time with each of you. I wanted to make each meeting special. To let you know, in some way, how much you mean to me.

I hope I did.

Thank you to Plaza for hosting this and for all you did to make the event go perfectly.
