something dogshit stupid will happen with luke and penelope which will be shaped like an aw moment but won’t work like one. side note i cannot BELIEVE they tried to play off the intensely and nastily manipulative “you’re the only reason i didn’t go off to kill myself already so… anyway… 👉👈 guess we’re breaking contact…” as a like really great moment, really affirming of pg’s immense goodness, etc. that’s soooo ugly!
either this is a taking rossi out of the field arc or it's like. rossi gets to show he's not too old for this. either way it's gonna be iconic and undermine all of the otherwise pretty good (RELATIVE TO CM) character work they did for him this season-- and by pretty good i mean that they set incredible foundations for him to retire but the man will not be retiring so the u-turn they're going to have to hook will be something to behold
whoever the returning character is i will not be happy with the result (<- a charm i am saying against It’s Not Derek [And If It Is Derek It Will Not Be Fun And Beautiful] disappointment)
it’s gonna have another wheels up moment or something equally #branding and this time it won’t be prentiss looking hot as she says it and it might genuinely dry up all the blood in my body
Rossi retires but then at the last second of the ep they’re gonna do a “the most serial of all serial killers just escaped and Rossi was the one who put him away so he is the one who’s now gonna have to catch him again” shit
the returning character will be Reid and it’s gonna be done in a really lazy boring way; my bet is that they’re gonna pull the old Reid The Miracle Brain bullshit & him knowing literally everything about every little and bizarre thing in the world and that’s why they need him to crack the case. If it’s a temporary return/a guest star he is there bc of Will drama and they’re trying to milk some more from that Jeid bullshit & make him come back for JJ and somehow make it his manpain
they could also just throw a cliffhanger and it’ll be unclear if Rossi survives the episode or not
Will will die. They'll do the same old tired trope of the dead spouse/girlfriend, but instead of killing yet another woman, they've been setting things up all season for Will to be the one to die.
