they aren’t really smiling but they’re also not really not smiling because this is how they look at each other - curious and smitten and fond

the way you can tell the moment when sherlock moves from looking to seeing

the way you can tell the moment when john realizes he’s being seen for the first time in god knows how long

sherlock is about to wink at john bc people find that charming and he wants john to like him

john is going to write about this moment later. john, who thinks nothing happens to him, is going to sit down at his desk and pull up his empty blog and think about this, and then he is going to write about it

also he googles sherlock holmes. googles him. reads his whole website and even memorises a line or two so he can ask sherlock about it later

when’s the last time someone looked at you with that much open curiosity 

sherlock invites him to look at a flat tomorrow so john doesn’t kill himself tonight

i highkey believe that sherlock has an eating disorder in canon and no one can tell me otherwise
