The fact that when Jean thinks of Marco, this is how he remembers him ๐ not as a corpse whoโs missing half of his face, but as someone whole and soft and alive
Additionally, as Jean beats Reiner, his hair starts to fall out of place. The way itโs framed here feels reminiscent of his s1-3 hair style: we canโt see the mullet, and his bangs fall messily over his forehead again. This therefore gives the feeling that Jeanโs younger self, who was so deeply scarred by Marcoโs death, is beating Reiner too.
