Squidward Appreciation Day

Happy New Year from Squidward Appreciation Day!! Spongebob actually has no New Years themed episodes, which was a huge shock to me! I couldn't recall any, and upon further investigation, all I've found is proposals and ideas made by fans. Interesting! Instead of theming around the holiday, I instead chose a few smiley photos of our favourite anthropomorphic octopus-- Oh yeah! In case you were unaware, he's actually an octopus-- to hopefully bring some cheer into the new year. Happy 2026 everyone!! - Jaron (he/him)

Hi everybody!! Wow, it's been literal eons since I've posted over here but life has been genuinely crazy over the time I've been gone. However! Spongebob fixation is back and better than ever baby!! I watched this episode earlier today and couldn't get over how adorable he looks in it!! I can't place my finger on what's different, but something about Squiddy is so so cute in this one!! I realized as I went to check my usual formatting that I've already done this episode- Whoops!

While it may not have been super easy to find pictures of just Squidward, I think the pictures I was able to fine are decent! Also, sorry I haven’t been super active on this blog, I’ve been super busy with school and stuff!! Anyways, this episode, looking back on it, was a lot better than I remembered, especially for it being the first episode. Somehow, I don’t think I remembered this being the first episode? For just a little more context, I’ve seen the first 15 or so seasons in their entireties, some multiple times

I always liked this episode a lot because i really desperately wanted to build the giant snow tower that Squidward had. Despite liking the episode I would have been happy with just him having a nice Christmas with his family. 

Episode: S8 Episode 3 Honestly I forgot about this entirely until I started watching It’s A Spongebob Christmas but this special was honestly so good! It was definitely one of the best holiday episodes and overall I just remember really liking this episode!

Honestly it was always really nice seeing what things Squidward got up to aside from work and playing the clarinet. Granted, he does kinda go through hell to get to his choir only to get shown up by Spongebob but still, it’s nice knowing a bit more about him. I think that the green ascot is quite nice and the red robe reminds me of Squilliam Fancyson

Honestly this episode messed me up a bit as a kid, but it was really nice to see that deep down Squidward really does care about his friends. He was always my favourite even as a kid

Genuinely can’t find the source for the last one but I think it’s also Christmas Who?? Decided to go straight in for Christmas stuff because it’s fun!! Honestly It’s A Spongebob Christmas was always so good and it’s one of my annual watches

I know it’s not Halloween anymore but I can’t help but love that episode! Closer to Christmas I’ll post stuff from It’s A Spongebob Christmas cause I have a lot of good memories from that movie (save for santa)
