Kim dokja, a witch researcher, and his companion Yoo Joonghyuk, a warrior witch (more for protecting from monsters rather than attacking people). One day Joonghyuk fought a member of the knights moralis and killed him, because Joonghyuk was trying to heal a injured girl and boy(Shin Yoosung and Lee Gilyeong). And in his battle he was heavily injued and nearing death. But just in time Dokja was able to cast a time reversal spell on Yoo Jonghyuk, and with the reverse signs of the memory earasing spell he was able to regain his memories of the day that he just experienced including his death / near death.
They are now on the run, but people think Yoo Joonghyuk is a brimmed cap and Kim Dokja is his hostage. And with each day / death that passes the memories of the pain of dying comes to linger more inside his mind.

After spending more that 1864 days in this hellscape of a being alive and dead, each skull on his body representing 100 days of torment, the reverse memory erasing spell got dry and worn off, making it so that he forgot everything to do with magic and Kim Dokja. Now Dokja now has to teach Joonghyuk magic again, while trying to cope of the loss of his companion.
They may meet more of Kim Dokja's company during their travels as brimmed caps or as pointed caps. And they do bring Lee Gilyeong and Shin Yoosung with them, but they make them wear cloaks so that they are perceived as story books on the floor to not araise suspicions. And Biyoo is a bushbuddy with a condition that causes her to not grow long like other brushbuddies, and she also has a pointed yellow cap.
