Leimu

OpenBook

While technology advances, and contrary to expectations, books are still loved. The OpenBook is a seat and a library that celebrates the printed form. Its design represents an evolution from TILT’s original Library Chair which itself was designed for a Grade II listed building where shelving for books could not be installed so instead the books were incorporated into the chair design.

Pendants

An ongoing project that repurposes wood from Superstorm Sandy and transforms it into items of beauty and utility. Part of all proceeds go to the Mayor's Fund.

Little Free Library

The Architectural League of New York partnered with Pen World Voices Festival to bring Little Free Library to New York City. en designers were chosen to create one Little Free Library each in Downtown Manhattan. Stereotank was selected to design a Little Free Library at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral School in Nolita.

Eira Chair

Eira is a seat conceived to occupy a special place in the lounge and so, becoming your favorite seating. Its design is based in individual bent wood pieces, in a way that the flexibility of the material itself provides a great comfort.

Quiet

Safe personal space, whether standing or sitting, was a key insight of the process and TILT created an enclosing form that can be either a chair or a booth depending on need. The pentagonal shapes are deliberately cocoon like, allowing the user to feel protected and cosy, almost immune to the outside world.

Arrow

While not functionally employed as a hanger, Arrow adorns the wall like an iconic graphic symbol. Gustav Hallén’s design is both a clever contemporary hanger and a decorative interior design feature. 

6BCA Tent

The classic A-frame tent is reminiscent of old-style tents and the ideal of camping. It is outfitted with a concealed LED strip in the top crossbar that makes it work like a giant light fixture, blurring the line between nomadic archetypes and more stationary and decorative products.

Welcome

It could be a rocket, a tipi or an igloo, depending on the user’s imagination, but in reality Welcome is an indoor playhouse for children. The form evolved from the various childhood memories of the Mermelada partners, while Welcome’s construction design is inspired by a typical Chinese lantern.

VRZ

VRZ 1. is a track bike frame with 3d printed stainless steel lugs glued together with carbon fiber tubes. This method allows to build custom frames in a short period of time. You could change the geometry to what ever fits you best, then the lugs gets generated by a software. The generated 3D files are produced with laser-cuseing process. Afterwards the printed parts need to be finished and bonded to the tubes.
