IMPACT Wrestling Terminates Contract With Tessa Blanchard, World Title Vacated

IMPACT has terminated Tessa Blanchard‘s contract with the company as of last night. The story broke on PWInsider with the company stating:

“Impact Wrestling confirmed that it has terminated its relationship with Tessa Blanchard and stripped her of the Impact Wrestling World Championship.”

Blanchard had not competed for the promotion since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. She had been slated to return to the company at the Slammiversary PPV in Nashville, TN.

Fightful then reported on June 11, that Blanchard was asked to send in promos for the recent set of tapings, but was told that just didn’t happen, and to “not be surprised” if things didn’t progress past that.

IMPACT attempted to get Blanchard to return to drop the title, but when that failed to happen, they chose to terminate her contract and vacate the belt.

Alexa Bliss Coming Out With A Podcast Next Month

WWE superstar and former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Alexa Bliss will be joining the WWE Podcast Network next month when her show “Uncool with Alexa Bliss” debuts next month.

“I have a podcast coming out soon; Uncool with Alexa Bliss. It’ll be coming out, I think in July, later in July. I interview a lot of WWE superstars, celebrities, musicians. We talk about what they were like before they were famous, how ‘uncool’ they were before the fame,”

“Because of everything going on, I’ve been stockpiling interviews and we’re going to release them later. We have After The Bell, New Day has their podcast, so it’s better that it’s later and there’s time for editing and making sure everything fits. It took a while to get the concept down, but once we did, it was a lot of fun.”

WWE has not officially announced Uncool with Alexa Bliss as of this time.

Sarah Logan Announces She Is Stepping Away From Wrestling

Recently released WWE superstar Sarah Logan announced via social media that she will be stepping away from wrestling for the time being.

Logan was signed to a developmental deal with WWE back in 2016 – a report that we first broke.

She also competed in the first Mae Young Classic before being called up to the main roster alongside Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan as part of The Riott Squad.

She began her wrestling career in 2011, while still in highschool under the ring name Crazy Mary Dobson.

On April 15, 2020, Logan was released from her WWE contract as a result of budget cuts due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Saraya Knight Responds To Abuse Allegations

On June 22nd, retired wrestler Charlie Morgan came forth with allegations regarding abuse from Saraya Knight and the Knight Family. Wrestlers and trainees such as Ayesha Raymond, Hannah Holmes, and more have come forward with accusations as well which you can read in full at Bell to Belles.

As a response to the allegations, Saraya Knight – who heads WAW Academy alongside her family – took to Facebook to respond and to announce she is leaving pro wrestling.

Generation Championship Wrestling Names Robyn Reid As Head of Female Talent

Florida’s Generation Championship Wrestling has announced that independent wrestler Robyn Reid will be Head of Female Talent for the promotion going forward.

This comes just one day after Robyn was announced as head of creative and booking for Thunder Rosa’s Mission Pro Wrestling in Texas.

Robyn has worked for promotions such as SHINE, SHIMMER, Pro Wrestling 2.0, and several other promotions in Florida. She also plays the role of “The Disciplinarian” on WOW Women Superheroes.

Charlotte Flair to Reportedly Undergo Surgery

On Monday’s Wrestling Observer Live radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Charlotte Flair is having surgery.

Flair was injured by Nia Jax in a storyline on RAW this Monday night. Meltzer didn’t specify the reason for the surgery or what is being operated on but said that it’s hopeful she will be ready for SummerSlam in August.

Charlotte recently lost the NXT women’s title in a three-way featuring Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley at NXT TakeOver: In Your House. She had held the belt for 63 days

Former IMPACT Wrestling Knockout Announces Engagement

Congratulations to retired wrestler Nikki Roxx who wrestled as Roxxi Laveaux in IMPACT Wrestling who over the weekend announced her engagement.

Roxx, retired from wrestling in December of 2013. She defeated current IMPACT Knockout Alisha Edwards in a match for Lucky Promotions in Massachusetts.

Since retiring from the ring Roxx has been a fitness coach and has given birth to two children.

Congratulations to Nikki and her fiance.

Thunder Rosa's Mission Pro Wrestling Becomes An All-Female Promotion

Yesterday NWA World Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa announced that her promotion that she owns alongside her husband – Mission Pro Wrestling would become an all women’s promotion going forward.

Not only will they only run shows involving women’s wrestling but every position on the staff will also be a female.

Mission Pro is based out of Buda, Texas and yesterday made the announcement that wrestler Robyn Reid would be joining the staff as head of booking and creative.

Robyn Reid who trained at the Reality of Wrestling school in Texas is known for her time in the promotion as a two-time diamond’s division champion as Ivory Robyn. She has worked for promotions such as SHINE, SHIMMER, Queens of Combat, and several other promotions. She also plays the role of “The Disciplinarian” on WOW Women Superheroes.

The promotion’s logo was also designed by a female staff member.

This now adds to the plethora of places great Texas talents such as AQA, Rok-C, Jenna Lynn, Miranda Alize, and more can work.

Himeka Arita Joins STARDOM

Last night former ActWres Girl’z roster member Himeka Arita joined the STARDOM promotion as she was revealed as the mysterious XXX in the Donna Del Mondo stable that consists of Giulia, Syuri, and Maika.

The 23-year-old has been wrestling for about two years and is a former SEAdLINNNG Beyond The Sea Tag Team Champion.

While she’s most known for her time in Actwres girl’Z she has worked for other promotions such as Ice Ribbon, Oz Academy, Pro Wrestling WAVE, and SEAdLINNNG.

Bellatrix Female Warriors to Debut on Streaming Service

WAW (World Association Of Wrestling) has announced that they will be launching an OnDemand service – which will include showcasing the all-female promotion they own Bellatrix Female Warriors.

The service is set to debut later this month on June 17th at a cost of £6 per month – and it will include their 26-year history including their back catalog of events.

The promotion is headed by the Knight Family which includes Saraya Knight and Ricky Knight who are the parents to WWE superstar Paige.

New WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Crowned

Last night on Friday Night SmackDown on FOX new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champpions were crowned.

Last night in the main event the team of Sasha Banks and Bayley defeated Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross to become the new tag team champions, ending Bliss-Cross Applesauce’s reign at 62 days – the team’s second reign with the belts.

This win marks the second reign for Banks and Bayley who were the inaugural holders of the title belts, winning themm at WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 in Houuston, TX in an ellimination chamber match.

Bayley now holds both the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship and the WWE Women Tag Team Championships.

Sierra Loxton Retires Due To Back Injury

In some rather sad news to report Welsh pro wrestler Sierra Loxton has been forced to retire.

The 21-year-old has had to step away from wrestling due to finding a fracture in her lower back discovered while healing from surgery due to an injury suffered at Pro Wrestling EVE’s “She Rules” event.

She took to her twitter account to announce the heartbreaking news:

While Loxton has only been an active wrestler since 2016 she has won the Celtic Crown Women’s Champion in her home promotion of Dragon Pro Wrestling as well as the IPW:UK Women’s Championship, making quite the name for herself on the UK indie scene in a short time.

She has worked on commentary for Pro Wrestling EVE during her time recovering from her back injury and judging by her tweet we may see her expand into commentary or some other position outside of the ring.

We wish Sierra Loxton all the best and in her continued recovery from injury.

PURE-J Coming To Independent Wrestling TV In June

Streaming service Independent Wrestling TV announced that next month Japanese women’s professional wrestling company PURE-J will be joining the list of promotions available on the streaming service.

The service added the Sendai Girls promotion to the site earlier this year, making PPURE-J the second Joshi promotion to join with more Japanese promotions to come.

PURE-J is headed by Command Bolshoi and is known as the former JWP promotion after being renamed in 2017.

The promotion is home to talent such as the current PURE-J Openweight Champion Hanako Nakamori, Makoto, Leon, AKARI, and many more.

Barbie Blank Announces Engagement

Former WWE Superstar Kelly Kelly aka Barbie Blank has announced that she recently got engaged to her boyfriend.

The former WWE Divas Champion said yes to her boyfriend of several years – Joe when he got down on one knee in Sedona, Arizona.

She recently wrestled at the 2020 Royal Rumble in the women’s rumble match, entering at number 21 before being eliminated by Charlotte Flair.

She also became the first female to hold the WWE 24/7 Championship after she pinned Gerald Brisco. She later lost the title to Candice Michelle later in the night at RAW Reunion in 2019.

JoJo Offerman Welcomes Second Child

Congratulations to JoJo Offerman and Bray Wyatt who welcomed their second child into the world this week when JoJo gave birth to her son – Hyrie Von Rotunda.

JoJo has been off the road with WWE since January of last year when she went on maternity leave for her first child.

Arisa Hoshiki Retires, Vacates Wonder of STARDOM Title

It was announced today that current Wonder of STARDOM Champion Arisa Hoshiki is retiring from wrestling effective immediately.

The 24-year-old started wrestling for STARDOM in 2011 and retired previously in 2012. She returned to the promotion in November of 2018.

In April of 2019, Hoshiki won the Cinderella Tournament, and went on to win the Wonder of Stardom Championship for the first time.

Su Yung Re-Signs With IMPACT

IMPACT Wrestling has signed former Knockouts Champion Su Yung to a new, multi-year contract, according to PWInsider.com.

Yung’s Impact deal had expired back in March but the two sides had continued to work together while hammering out a new deal.

Yung debuted for the company back in 2016, feuding with Allie and Jessika Havok, among others as she brought the Undead Realm into prominence within Impact storylines.

She has held the Impact Knockouts Championship in the past. Recently she has been playing “Suzie”.
